Brandon Aiyuk likely to return in early October
Shanahan: WR is "on track" to return around Week 6 Kyle Shanahan said all of the 49ers' ACL guys - including Brandon Aiyuk - are on track to be back around Week 6, he said. He said there's a range of weeks that Aiyuk could actually be back in a game, but that's the rough estimate at this point. (The Athletic - Matt Barrows) FF Today's Take: This suggests that Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall will each have a nice runway for the first half of the season if they can get healthy in time for Week 1. Given how uncertain Aiyuk's return date sounds, there is a world Jennings and Pearsall can operate as clear starters for at least half of the season. Outside of the receivers, Aiyuk's absence figures to boost the floors of Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.

Jordan Love going under the knife
Packers QB expected to return in a few days Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said QB Jordan Love is undergoing a procedure on his left thumb. It s a ligament issue. That s why he had it taped yesterday in practice. Said the hope is for Love to return to practice next week. (ESPN - Rob Demovsky) FF Today's Take: It appears to be a minor issue. Fantasy managers would be wise to monitor his practice participation next week, although the good news is that the injury is to his non-throwing hand. Until further notice, continue to draft Love as a high-end QB2.
