Alec Pierce placed on PUP list to begin camp
Ankle injury Alec Pierce, who is moving into a much larger role as Indy's #1 WR, was placed on the PUP list to start camp by the #colts. He's recovering from ankle surgery that took place in March and had a 4-6 month recovery. (James Palmer on X) FF Today's Take: We figured this would happen. Pierce can be removed the list at any point during camp. HC Shane Steichen indicated a few days ago that Pierce will "get ramped up during training camp." Being paid like a true No.1 receiver, we're expecting Pierce's role to grow in the offense this season. However, missing minicamp and a portion of training camp could lead to a slow start once the regular season begins.
