NHL DFS: Playoffs 4/19/23

I look for a lot of the same trends we saw in Monday’s action except I think Dallas comes out on top of Minnesota.

Teams to Target

Boston
Dallas

Favorite Stacks

DAL 1: Robertson-Hintz-Seguin-Heiskanen
BOS 2: Bertuzzi-Krejci-Pastrnak-McAvoy

Value Stacks

EDM 2: Kane-Draisaitl-Yakomoto-Bouchard
LA 3: Iafallo-Lizotte-Vilardi-Anderson

Goalies

Antti Raanta, CAR
Linus Ullmark, BOS

Showdowns

As we head into Game 2, it is important to understand that coaches will adjust matchups based on how Game 1 went. Winning teams will most likely not adjust while losing teams will make changes. For the most part, Monday’s matchups went as planned, so I am not expecting too many adjustments. (Tomorrow will be a different story).

New York Islanders @ Carolina (-170)

O/U 5.5

I think the Islanders steal this one from Carolina. This series should remain low scoring, so it is a good place to play goalies.

CPT: Kyle Palmieri
Flex: Pierre Engvall, Brock Nelson
Flex: Brady Skjei

Florida @ Boston (-215)
O/U 6.5

Boston dominated game 1 and I don’t see that changing.

CPT: David Pastrnak
Flex: David Krejci, Tyler Bertuzzi
Flex: Matthew Tkachuk

Minnesota @ Dallas (-150)
O/U 5.5

Dallas will bounce back and want revenge for the nasty hit on Joe Pavelski (who has been ruled out tonight). Wyatt Johnston and Kirill Kaprizov were the best players on the ice Monday, so we will add them to our lineup.

CPT: Wyatt Johnston
Flex: Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, Jamie Benn
Flex: Kirill Kaprizov

Los Angeles @ Edmonton (-215)
O/U 6.5

Connor McDavid was flying all over the ice, breaking double teams, and getting shots on the net. LA will not be able to hold him down for long and Edmonton will scheme to get him open.

CPT: Evan Bouchard
Flex: Connor McDavid, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
Flex: Adrian Kempe
