The Chalk Board | DFS Ownership Pivots
Moving off the chalk has always been a guide to success in DFS. Let’s explore what the simulation and projected ownership say about where we can pivot from the public and gain an edge on the field.
Quarterbacks: Only 2 QBs are projected to be over 10% owned, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert. Both fine chalk and with ultra high ceilings. But we are here to find you pivots. Pivoting up to a man on a mission in Stafford if you want high-end production at closer to 5% owned, and punching down to Baker Mayfield while his ownership is down due to injury concerns are obvious plays. You can’t go wrong sticking with Brisset and I just have a great feeling about Stroud this week. Maybe I’m a homer, but Purdy is in a bounce-back spot against a tough D and might go overlooked for the potential here. Tua is my Tipsy Pick this week. $4900, against a Defense that can be beat and hoping for those Achane TD’s to be dump-offs…
Top End Plays: Stafford, Purdy
Mid Range Targets: Brissett, Darnold
Value: Stroud
Tipsy Pick: Tua
Running Backs: Achane, Hall, Bijan, and Walker are all looking at over 15% ownership with a ton on Achane, and I understand it as he is the solo guy projected over 30 points this week in ceiling scoring. However, that same Saints Defense didn’t break to Bijan last week, so I am not sure I am completely sold. Walker keeps getting the Sims love but hasn’t really broken out, and Hall is on a team so bad you never know what you’re gonna get.
Top End Pivots: Taylor or McCaffery (if you can fit them), Cook
Mid Range Targets: ETN, Jeanty, Rico
Value Targets: Neal (if Kamara misses)
Tipsy Pick: Michael Carter
Wide Receivers: JSN, Puka, Nico, and Waddle. You won’t get many arguments against me with those! I’m out on mid-range chalk like Olave, Shakir, and Tet. Jayden Higgins is starting to get up there in ownership, but you can’t ask for much more value out of a $3900 WR. Give me some Egbuka and hope we see some early-season magic return, I want to be on Adams as I have been every single week over Puka for the savings. I’m on Ladd and Meyers being undervalued as well.
Top End Pivots: Adams
Mid Range Targets: Egbuka, Ladd, Meyers, Pearsall, Metcalf
Value Plays: Jennings, Metchie, J Higgins
Tipsy: Chimere Dike (Let’s get one of them return TDs!)
Tight Ends: We finally get McBride priced up to the 3rd highest pass catcher of the week behind only JSN and Puka. This is the moment I think I am finally backing off, and the public agrees, as he is down to the 5th-highest ownership play. Gadsden, Bowers, Pitts, and Schultz are projected to have higher ownership. I am in on Gadsden and Schultz, but let’s find value elsewhere.
Top End Pivots: Kittle, Warren
Mid Range Targets: Juwan Johnson, Otton
Values: Fannin, Barner
Tipsy: Colby Parkinson
