Chalk Board | Ownership Pivots

Quarterbacks

I’m interested in exactly 4 QBs this week and none of them are in the top 5 projected ownership range. I’m usually looking for under 10% owned or clear #1 positional domination.

All 4 of my favorite matchups are under 10%.Hurts, Allen, Stroud, Mahomes. Don’t get cute here. Lawrence and Minshew are both over 15% with Baker and Kyler coming in right behind.

Fanduel is looking like overwhelming popularity is with Jalen Hurts. CJ Stroud is underpriced for his upside and am still on Mahomes and Allen at under 10%.

Running Backs

5 backs are projected over 20% and I’m ok fading every one of them. #1 is at almost 30% owned in a matchup I don’t like, maybe I’m missing something but I’m not in on Jonathan Taylor against a very good Buccaneers run D. Pacheco, Williams, Conner and White round out the rest of the chalk and I’ll skip em all to go to Swift, Kyren, Jacobs, Mixon, Warren… every one of these guys have just as good of a situation and projections and closer to 5% owned. Fanduel is much the same.

Wide Receivers

It’s no surprise with all the love Stroud and Lawrence are getting that 4 of the top 5 owned plays are their receivers. Dell, Collins, Kirk, Ridley. The 3rd highest owned is good Chalk in my book though in Demario Douglas who is simply way too low priced to be ignored. Easy Pivots from Pickens to Downs and from AJ Brown to Diggs, and from Kupp to Puka are in order.

Justin Watson min price flier with value picks in Wan’Dale, Shaheed, and Douglas should allow us to pivot up fairly easily this week.

Fanduel makes Diggs, Puka, Pittman and Dell even more interesting as Nico gets double the love Dell is getting on FD.

Tight Ends

McBride, Engram, and Kincaid are all Chalk and this seems to be a place to stack up Mahomes with Kelce. Njoku and Schultz are firmly in play with a salary saving option in Cade Otton.

Defenses

If you read my articles you know where I’m going… All the way to the bare bottom in Houston, who have gotten healthier and played good ball the whole year. The Chiefs are my next option with the top end of the Browns and Steelers most likely being very popular.

Eagles waived QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Even with the injury to Tanner McKee (thumb), the Eagles feel confident enough in their depth at quarterback to let Thompson-Robinson hit the waiver wire. It's certainly feasible that the team could bring back DTR on the practice squad, but it's just as likely that he'll be looking for a new organization.
