Start/Sit Hub Week 7
Happy week 7 of the 2025 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit Hub! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out.
The TNF game this Thursday is between the 4-1 Steelers and the 2-4 Bengals. The game is in Cincinnati with the Steelers being favored by 5.5 and the total points over/under is currently 43.5. Can DK continue his hit streak, or will Ja’Marr Chase take over the game? My prediction is a 27-26 win for the Steelers.
I am here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.
TNF START/SIT
Start – DK Metcalf – It was a toss up between Ja’Marr Chase and DK Metcalf in this spot because they have both been great. Chase has over 200 yards and 3 TDs in his last 2 games and DK has 4 consecutive games with a TD and has over 200 yards in his last 2 games. I could see both stud WRs having excellent week 7 performances.
Sit – Jonnu Smith – I love to see Smith play and succeed but he has not been fantasy viable since week 1. Since his 6 target and 1 TD performance in week 1, Jonnu has not exceeded 4 targets in any game, and he has only 24 yards total through his last 2 games. The Steelers have a crowded TE room as it is with Smith, Freiermuth, and Washington.
TNF has concluded with yet another upset, the Bengals outlasting the steelers by a score of 33-31. Joe Flacco threw for 342 yards, chase brown ran for 108 yards, and Ja’Marr chase caught 16 of his 23 targets for 161 yards and a score. My TNF sit curse hits again with Jonnu Smith reaching the end zone. The Steelers have the Packers next while the Bengals get the Jets. Next TNF game is between the Vikings and Chargers.
BYE WEEK – RAVENS, BILLS
Remember that the Rams/Jaguars game is being played in London so it will be in the morning for most in the States.
Some of the games I am looking forward to most in week 7 are the Rams/Jaguars, Colts/Chargers, Commanders/Cowboys, and the Buccaneers/Lions. Enjoy your football weekend and good luck!

START OF THE WEEK
Start – Dak Prescott – Dak has been on fire throwing for Dallas. 10 passing TDs without any INTs in his last 3 games with a rushing TD as well. Dak also gets CeeDee Lamb back this week. Dak is 2nd in the NFL in passing yards and 2nd in passing TDs. Washington should be ready for a shootout.
Rams @ Jaguars (London)
Start – Kyren Williams – Kyren has been consistent this season leading the team in rushing. Kyren has between 13-20 carries in every game, 50+ rushing yards in every game, and 2 receptions in all but 1 game. He has also scored at least 1 TD in 4 of his 6 games. Across the pond should not be different for William’s success.
Sit – Travis Hunter – Travis is back on the sit list. He is coming off a week where he was being targeted 7 times and had just 15 receiving yards. That is the 2nd most targets he has gotten this season and his lowest receiving yards output. The 2-way rookie plays both sides of the ball so his snaps could always be limited. Still waiting for a breakout performance.
Eagles @ Vikings
Start – Dallas Goedert –Dallas had his best week last game when he caught 9 of 11 targets for 110 yards and a TD. Goedert has scored 5 TDs in his last 4 games with at least 1 in each. He has 20 targets total in his last 2 games and seems like a security blanket for Hurts when things are not clicking elsewhere. Vikings have been shutting down WRs in fantasy this season, but not the same story with TEs.
Sit – Tank Bigsby – Tank having been traded to the Eagles earlier this season seems to have crushed his fantasy value. He went from backing up Etienne in Jacksonville to esentially being a kick returner in Philly. AJ Dillon and Will Shipley have seen more offensive opportunity than Tank, so he is not just a sit but also very droppable.
Raiders @ Chiefs
Start – Patrick Mahomes – Mahomes is expected to have all his weapons handy for a home game against a Vegas defense that has not been pleasant. Mahomes is playing some great football lately throwing 8 TD passes in his last 3 games. Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy will be exciting to watch along with Kelce.
Sit – Jakobi Meyers – Meyers has not been great in his last 3 games compared to his first few weeks. He has had 4 receptions in each of his last 3 games and has not hit the 40-yard mark in any of those. Even without Brock Bowers, Meyers is not to be relied on especially in KC.
Dolphins @ Browns
Start – Quinshon Judkins – This has the makings of a Judkins bounce back game. Pittsburgh did well containing him last week allowing just 36 rushing yards. Well, this is Miami who just let Konami Vidal rush for 124 yards and let Rico Dowdle hit over 200 rushing yards the week prior. Judkins has a home crowd, and a terrible run defense so there should not be any reason he cannot produce.
Sit – Tua Tagovailoa – Tua threw 3 interceptions in week 6 which was a home game against the Chargers. This week he will have to play in Cleveland who have a good defense. Tua has multiple games with multiple interceptions. Does not help being without Tyreek Hill and your best late addition, Waller, is currently questionable.
Patriots @ Titans
Start – Drake Maye – Drake continues to impress this season. He has 10 TD passes and just 2 INTs while maintaining double digit rushing yards in every game. The Titan’s defense is not as bad as you would think, but even that being said, Maye should be able to have his way Sunday. Maye is currently 4th in odds to win MVP.
Sit – Cam Ward – not much explanation needed here but I will anyway. Ward has more turnovers than scores as a rookie and might be without his WR1 Calvin Ridley. Patriots defense is not a walk in the park as well.
Panthers @ Jets
Start – Rico Dowdle – 3rd week in a row where Rico is in my start spot. Tricky this week because Chuba Hubbard is expected to be healthy and play. Sticking to my guns with Rico as you cannot have 200+ total yards in back-to-back games with a score in each and then be simply dismissed. I see a bigger role for Dowdle moving forward. Jets defense should not pose many problems.
Sit – Both D/ST – This could backfire as these offenses are not impressive, but the Jets and the Panthers are both bottom 12 in points allowed per game.
Saints @ Bears
Start – Caleb Williams – Caleb is in great position to excel this Sunday. Saints defense has not contained opposing QBs and WRs this season and Caleb should take full advantage like he did with the Cowboys in week 3. Williams has 2 total TDs in all but 1 of his 5 games this season so he can hurt you via rushing as well as passing. His confidence seems at an all time high.
Sit – Juwan Johnson – Juwan has struggled in his last 3 games. He had just 9 total targets in those 3 games resulting in 7 total receptions. He has not scored since week 2 and is averaging just 20 receiving yards per game over his last 3 games.
Colts @ Chargers
Start – Ladd McConkey – McConkey has 2 consecutive games with a receiving TD. The Colts have not contained opposing WRs in fantasy this season and Ladd is the hottest of the big 3 receivers right now for LA. Johnston missed a game last week and Keenan Allen has not scored since week 3.
Sit – Hassan Haskins – I got it wrong last week as to who would emerge for the RB spot in LA. It was Vidal who left no crumbs for Haskins. Should’ve the same this week as the Colts have a better rush defense than pass defense. Haskins is droppable.
Giants @ Broncos
Start – Evan Engram – Hard choice here because it is difficult to predict who will have the best week when Bo Nix involved so many pass catchers and play makers. Engram has 20 targets over his last 3 games and has scored 1 TD. Engram used to play for the Giants for his first 5 seasons so it might be more motivation to have a good game and get a score.
Sit – Tyrone Tracy Jr – Tyrone has been out or just not producing since week 2. The emergence of Cam Skattebo has left Tracy in the dust. Even after returning to play the Eagles who they beat handily, Tracy Jr had just 4 carries for 6 yards. Denver’s defense is elite as well.
Packers @ Cardinals
Start – Tucker Kraft – Arizona has had trouble with defending opposing TEs this season. Kraft should take full advantage of this and exploit the Cardinals defense. Kraft scored his 3rd TD of the season in week 6.
Sit – Bam Knight & Michael Carter – I do not like any RBs for Arizona this week against the Packers defense. Bam is questionable currently but even if both or just one of them was playing it is too tough a matchup with the Packers who are top 5 in defending opposing RBs.
Commanders @ Cowboys
Start – Dak Prescott – SEE START OF THE WEEK TOP OF PAGE
Sit – Either D/ST – This game has the makings of a high scoring game. The point total over/under is highest of the week set currently at 54.5. Neither defense has looked impressive.
Falcons @ 49ers
Start – Drake London – London went off in week 6 and in week 4 which were his last 2 games with a BYE in between. Drake has 2 separate games with 15+ targets and in his last 2 games played he has 18 receptions, 268 yards, and 2 TDs. That is all while Bijan Robinson has looked incredible. London can be a cheat code, so the 49ers better be ready.
Sit – Kyle Pitts – Pitts is back on the sit list. Last week he struggled with just 18 receiving yards despite McCloud and Mooney not playing. It was the Drake and Bijan show. San Fran has a decent defense, so I do not trust Pitts again this week.
Buccaneers @ Lions (MNF)
Start – Jared Goff – Goff in prime time on MNF against the Bucs sounds like a fun high scoring game. Only the Dallas game has a higher point total. Goff leads the NFL in passing TDs and we already know Baker Mayfield will bring all he has to put up points so Goff will be throwing often.
Sit – Either D/ST– Never fun having defenses in the air spot but who would you put here? An explosion of offense is expected from the starters on both teams.
Texans @ Seahawks (MNF)
Start – CJ Stroud – CJ has been great in his last 2 games played and then had a BYE last week. He has 6 TD passes in those 2 games. He will need to air it out.
Sit – Sam Darnold – The matchup is the reason I would sit Darnold. Texans have the best defense in fantasy when it comes to shutting down opposing QBs.
