NFL Post Week 12 Waivers

Post Week 12 Waivers

by Jonny Danger

Look, it’s the last week of most of your regular seasons… Play your studs… But if you HAVE to fill in someone…

QB Fill-ins
Baker Mayfield – CLE
Tennessee has given up plenty of points and they will most likely need to score to hang. I LOVE Chubb and Hunt in this game but I expect Baker to have to throw if they get behind. I’m not in love with it but if you are desperate you could do worse.

Taysom Hill – NO
Let’s face it, he has put up QB1 numbers and Atlanta has been better, but are still vulnerable. I like him in one more week without Brees.

Kirk Cousin- MIN
Watch the status of Cook healing into the weekend. Though I like him anyway I LOVE him if Cook misses the game or is hobbled. The Jags can’t stop anyone.

Also fine, Mitch, Carr.

RB
Cam Akers – LAR
Not to start this week but if you have a depth spot to fill it is worth a shot that he takes that lead roll with NE, NYJ and SEA coming up.

Benny Snell – PIT
With Conner having COVID Snell is in line for at least 1 and maybe 2 more starts. Absolutely jump in on him.

Kerryon Johnson – DET
Just a stash, probably don’t need to spend waiver on him. Reports on Swift aren’t good according to team mates. THey might give Kerryon some run to increase his trade value.

Back-ups to keep an eye on the lead back health: Mattison, Booker

Not Interested: Murray, Ito Smith

WR
Sammy Watkins – KC
3rd option in a Mahomes offense is never a bad stash. He’s due for a big week…

Henry Ruggz – LV
Agholor could miss the week. THat is a tasty situation for Ruggz, more of a DFS thing really but if injuries and bye weeks got you, he’s certainly viable against the Jets.

Darnell Mooney – CHI
I take any shot against the Lions any week…. He has got 6.5 average targets the last 9 weeks. Keep the faith with his cake matchups to finish the year.

Collin Johnson – JAX
2 good matchups coming, worth a shot if Chark is out more weeks.

Josh Gordon – SEA
Can’t play till at least next week… if you have deep benches… why not?

Not Interested: Keke Coutee, Chad Beebe, Gabriel Davis, Olibisi Johnson, Mohamed Sano

Jordan Reed- SF
SF loves their TEs and having Deebo and Aiyuk back might free up some coverage against Buffalo in what I think goes higher scoring than people think.

Robert Tonyan – GB
I think he is truly the #2 target in GB. Lock him in.

Trey Burton – TEN
Burton has made himself the favorite TE target for Rivers and has a nice matchup against the Texans.

Tyler Eiffert – JAX
Starting to fit in nicely in this offense. Look for that to build and continue.
