Waiver Hub – Week 10

Happy November 5th! Welcome to week 10. Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.

Last night we got the matchup of the Buccaneers and the Chiefs. The Chiefs ended up winning in OT as the Bucs would not let this game go. Final score was 24-30. KC held the Bucs in check on the ground but did have difficulty with TE Cade Otton who caught 8 passes for 77 yards and a TD. For KC Hopkins scored twice, Kelce hit 100 receiving yards on a career high 14 receptions, and Kareem Hunt eclipsed 100 rushing yards and scored the OT game winning TD. The Bucs play the 49ers next while the undefeated Chiefs take on the Broncos.

It is time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here is another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.

Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.

TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Cedric Tillman & Jerry Jeudy – Cleveland Browns

Deshaun Watson no longer at QB has been great for the Browns passing game and fantasy football owners. Both Tillman and Jeudy have been targeted heavily with Winston at QB. Tillman has 3 TDs in his last 2 games and has 32 targets in his last 3. Jeudy has 19 targets in his last 2 games and surpassed 70 receiving yards in each as well. Both WRs are solid to add to your team for depth but Tillman seems like the better choice if you have the choice. The Browns have a BYE week this upcoming week but the. Get the Saints defense after that which is a good matchup for Browns pass catchers.

Quarterbacks

Justin Herbert– LA Chargers

Justin Herbert seems to have flipped a switch lately and looks like the old Herbert we all enjoyed watching lighting up defenses with his arm. Herbert did not have a 180+ yard passing game in the first 5 weeks of the season. Since his BYE in week 5 he has a minimum of 237 passing yards in each game. He is averaging 286 passing yards in his last 4 games and has back-to-back multi-TD games. The Chargers have a favorable schedule for Herbert moving forward.

Running Backs

Rico Dowdle– Dallas Cowboys

Rico had over 100 total yards in week 9 rushing for 75 and receiving 32. He caught his 3rd TD of the season as well. The Cowboys are a mess and will be without Dak Prescott this upcoming week, but I do not think that affects Dowdle’s usage which stays high regardless of the game flow. Ezekiel Elliot and Dalton Cook do not seem to have any impact. He has the Eagles and Texans next which are bad matchups, but his volume should remain high,

Tyrone Tracy– New York Giants

Tracy carried the ball 16 times Sunday for a total of 66 rushing yards. Tracy now has 16+ carries in 4 of his last 5 games including 2 games with over 129 rushing yards and he also scored twice in that time frame. The Giants next 4 games are against teams that struggle to defend opposing RBs, so Tracy is a great choice moving forward if he is not already owned.

Wide Receivers

Cedric Tillman & Jerry Jeudy – Cleveland Browns

SEE TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK – TOP OF PAGE

Jauan Jennings – San Francisco 49ers

Jennings has not played since week 6 and is on pace to return in week 10 following his teams BYE week. Jennings has shown his explosiveness already this season and without Brandon Aiyuk for the rest of the season he should see some more targets than usual. The 49ers play the Buccaneers next which is favorable for mostly all 49ers offense. With Christian McCaffrey possibly returning this week as well could make life easier for Purdy and open the passing game more which benefits Jennings.

Tight Ends

Mike Gesicki – Cincinnati Bengals

Gesicki has stepped up his game for Cinci in the absence of key offensive players like Tee Higgins, Mike has 14 targets in his last 2 games being 2nd to only Ja’Marr Chase in each of those games. Joe Burrow clearly likes targeting Gesicki and has back-to-back good matchups approaching with the Ravens and the Chargers.
