Week 10 is ending tonight with a MNF matchup between the undefeated 8-0 Philadelphia Eagles and the 4-5 Washington Commanders. The game is in Philly, the Eagles are favored by 11 points, and the over/under is set at 43.5 currently. I think the Eagles escape with a win tonight, but I wouldn’t take Washington lightly. The Commanders had won 3 games in a row before they lost to the Vikings by a field goal. I like Dallas Goedert to show out, and it will be interesting to see Dotson back on the field for Washington after his explosive start to his rookie season prior to injury. My prediction is Eagles win by a score of 26-13, but I think it will be closer than the score reflects. No Carson Wentz to boo and heckle this time for Eagles fans.
Make sure you’re aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 10 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.
PLAYERS TO BUY
Travis Etienne – Jacksonville Jaguars
Etienne came back down to earth this past weekend after racking up 100+ rushing yards in 3 consecutive games with 4 combined TDs. He managed 45 rushing yards on 11 carries and caught all 3 of his targets for 28 receiving yards. Tough for Etienne to produce in a game flow where you’re down double-digit points early. The Jags have a BYE next week so go find Travis’s owner and see if you can buy low after an off game going into a BYE week. That owner could be desperate to win immediately and with the BYE its more tempting. Etienne is RB1 and will get plenty of touches each game as long as he stays healthy. Go get em.
Mike Evans – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Evans hasn’t been bad at all, but he hasn’t been great either. He does have 3 games with 96+ receiving yards and is a target hog, but his last 2 games he combined for 10 receptions for 94 yards. Still not bad, but I’m sure his owners want TDs as well as yardage. Evans hasn’t scored a TD since October 2 in week 4. Evans leads the Bucs in every main WR stat category and with Tom Brady getting his act together makes him even more appealing moving forward. Buy Evans, hopefully low as you can, given his TD drought and selling the point that he has a BYE this weekend.
TJ Hockenson – Minnesota Vikings
Hockenson is starting to get more attention than ever since he was traded from the Lions to the Vikings. Better team, better opportunity, better chances at success and wins. TJ has 195 yards in his last 3 games being targeted 23 times. Only Jefferson has more receiving yards, targets, and receptions since TJ became a Viking. His future is bright, especially on the Vikings who can move the ball and put TJ in great spots for success. I’m not saying buying him is going to be easy or low, but I would throw out some offers and see what you can get for the TE that has been elite lately. Just wait until he cashes in some red zone looks.
PLAYERS TO SELL
Rondale Moore – Arizona Cardinals
Moore is on a 3-game stretch that has been rather impressive. He has a total of 31 targets and 255 receiving yards in those games. Even without Kyler Murray yesterday he was targeted 13 times and caught 9 of them for 94 yards. I would sell Moore sky high knowing he has the 49ers defense next game and still has a BYE in week 13. Moore could continue this streak of positive momentum, but if you’re skeptical or believe he is worth trading away for someone you prefer moving forward, offer him up.
Kadarius Toney – Kansas City Chiefs
Toney might actually be available in your league, in which I would scoop him up ASAP given he is a promising young WR with Patrick Mahomes slinging it around every week. If you own him, throw out some offers to sell after his 1st TD of the season. Toney was traded to KC which is an upgrade from the Giants offense. Toney was targeted 5 times which was most by any KC WR in week 10 and his 57 receiving yards were 3rd best on the team but most by any KC WR. Toney has only played 2 games with the Chiefs, but his targets, receptions, receiving yards, and TDs all went up since last week moving in the right direction. Chiefs get Chargers next who just gave up 84 yards to Brandon Aiyuk. I would sell him if you can, given he has great potential.
Leonard Fournette – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Lenny is still playing well and worth owning and starting, but Rachaad White got the start yesterday and ran away with it, literally. White rushed 22 times compared to 14 by Fournette, and White finished with 105 rushing yards compared to Fournette’s 57. Lenny scored a TD which is a great selling point. Fournette isn’t going away but he sure is going to be more limited with White starting and playing well. Lenny is going to be TD dependent if he isn’t already. Sell the stud RB sky high for an elite player. If you have White and Fournette you can sell Fournette and have the best of both worlds.
Diontae Johnson – Pittsburgh Steelers
Diontae Johnson is in my sell category because well, if you own him, I’m sure you would rather sell him and move on from the headache that is his production this season. He recorded 4 receptions for 63 yards on 5 targets yesterday which is his 2nd best yardage game of the season. Diontae has no scores this season and is dealing with a rookie QB. Johnson has been targeted 9+ times in all but 3 games this season which is a major selling point. For perspective, Johnson has the most targets (81), the most receptions (47), and the most receiving yards (435) on the team, however TE Freiermuth has 26 less targets, 11 less receptions, and only 32 less receiving yards. Sell Johnson for whatever you think you can get with the pitch that he leads his team in receiving stats, he is a target hog which is beneficial more in PPR, and he already had his BYE week.
