Week 7 is ending tonight with a MNF matchup between the 2-4 Chicago Bears and the 3-3 New England Patriots. The game is being played in New England at Gillette stadium with an over/under currently set at 40 and the spread favors the Patriots by 8. Hefty spread but seems accurate to me. The Bear’s offense is not good, and Belichick is a great game planner so I’m guessing this game he will focus on Fields and make it difficult for him to get going. The Bear’s defense has struggled against the run this season so expect a big dose of Stevenson and Harris. Both teams need a win to try to make their way out of the bottom half of their divisions. My prediction is the Patriots to win and cover by a score of 24-13.
Leagues have different trade deadlines, and some leagues don’t have a deadline at all. You should have a handful of weeks still to try to sell or buy players, but make sure you’re aware of the deadline date so you can act accordingly. There is still enough time to get strategic and use your persuasion and negotiation skills out in the fantasy football trade market. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 7 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.
PLAYERS TO BUY
Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens
Andrews went into week 7 with a knee that he has been nursing but that didn’t stop him from playing against the Browns yesterday. He did play, just didn’t record a single reception. His playing time was consistent with previous games, but I think Baltimore’s rush heavy approach hurt his chances significantly. Lamar Jackson had a season low 16 passing attempts which he completed 9 of for 120 yards. That kind of rushing attack could hurt Andrew’s stock moving forward but I don’t see it effecting Andrews like it did yesterday, especially as he continues to get back to 100%. Go find that concerned Andrew’s owner in your league and throw out a low offer after a no reception game.
Drake London – Atlanta Falcons
London and the Falcons lost by 17 points to the Bengals yesterday. Marcus Mariota had only 13 passing attempts the week after he had only 14 passing attempts. That’s 4 games this season with 20 or less passing attempts for the Falcons offense. Falcons can’t keep that up forever as they will need to score points. London is the best WR on the team and he should be able to hog most of the targets moving forward. Kyle Pitts is becoming irrelevant in fantasy which opens the rookie’s potential even more. Drake hasn’t hit 50 yards receiving since week 3 despite having 4+ targets in 3 of his last 4 games. 1 reception for 9 yards was all London was able to produce given he was only targeted that single time. The Falcons have a nice and easy remaining schedule for WRs moving forward. Go send some buy low offers in hopes Atlanta must throw more.
Jamaal Williams – Detroit Lions
Williams got the start at RB for Detroit yesterday against the Cowboys and played well. He finished with 79 rushing yards on 15 attempts giving him a little over 5 yards per carry. He also caught his only target for 4 yards. Williams has double-digit carries in every game he has played this season with or without Swift. Even with Swift most likely coming back and being RB1 next weekend against Miami, Williams gets a lot of red zone carries and has held his own. I would go buy Williams as dirt cheap as possible using the pitch that Swift is back.
Dalton Schultz – Dallas Cowboys
Schultz has returned from injury and played in week 7s win over the Lions. He caught 5 of 5 targets and racked up 49 yards. Dak Prescott being healthy behind center benefits Schultz if they can both get healthy and stay healthy. When Dak has played football this season (week 1 and week 7) Schultz has a combined 14 targets, 12 receptions, and 111 receiving yards. Dalton has favorable matchups on the Cowboys remaining schedule. I would buy Schultz as low as you can before he returns to top 10 TE form.
PLAYERS TO SELL
Tyler Boyd – Cincinnati Bengals
Boyd had one of the best games of his career against the Falcons catching 8 of his 9 targets for 255 receiving yards and a TD. Burrow threw for nearly 500 yards yesterday and all the pass catchers took advantage. Ja’Marr Chase caught 2 TDs for the 2nd consecutive week and Higgins almost broke 100 receiving yards. Higgins and Chase are looking good and should both be healthy moving forward getting a lot of attention from Burrow when he drops back. Boyd is still WR3 on the Bengals and the remaining schedule for the Bengals doesn’t favor WRs, especially come fantasy playoff time. I would sell high after a performance that will be very difficult to repeat.
Mecole Hardman – Kansas City Chiefs
Have a day Mecole! The Kansas City WR caught all 4 of his targets for 32 yards and a TD. But he wasn’t done there, he had 2 carries for 28 yards and both rushes ended in the endzone. 3 TD performance by a WR3 has sell high written all over it. Mecole might not be owned in your league but if you were lucky enough to own him and even start him, now is a great time to use him to your benefit. Hardman had 2 carries through 6 games so I’m thinking he won’t repeat rushing TDs or even rushing yards. Mahomes go to guy is still Kelce, and Hardman has to compete with him, MVS, and JuJu. You never know who will erupt for KC so selling Hardman is an easy choice. Find that manager and remind him of the 3 TDs he just scored.
Aaron Jones – Green Bay Packers
Jones had a good game in a loss to the Commanders. Well, a good game in the pass catching department at least. He struggled rushing for just 23 yards. In fact, he only has a combined 42 rushing yards in his last 2 games. Jones also hadn’t scored any TDs except for week 2 when he caught a TD and ran in another. Jones was targeted season high 10 times yesterday and converted them into 9 receptions for 53 yards and found himself in the end zone twice. I would take advantage of his 2nd 2 TD game of the season and sell Jones as high as possible to rid yourself of the Packers disappointing offense.
Jerry Jeudy – Denver Broncos
Jeudy coincidentally had his best game of the season with Russell Wilson not playing QB. He caught 7 of 11 targets for 96 yards in a loss to the Jets. Prior to week 7 Jeudy hadn’t surpassed 4 receptions in a game and his most targets in a game was 8 (caught 3 of 8). With Courtland Sutton remaining WR1 in Denver and the slight emergence of TE Greg Dulcich, this sounds like the perfect time to sell Jeudy nice and high given his name and yesterdays success.
