Trade Hub – Week 6

Happy Monday and welcome back to my weekly trade HUB article! I hope you had a great football filled weekend and are on the cusp of fantasy victory. Mike Hubbard Jr here, ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football. Feel free to tweet me or message me with any comments or questions you might have regarding fantasy football.

Week 5 is coming to a close tonight following MNF. The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in primetime. The Raiders sit at 1-3 while the Chiefs are 3-1. The over/under in this game is 51.5 and the Chiefs are favored by 7. As great as the Chiefs have looked, I’m expecting Vegas to show up and compete. A lot of fantasy studs in this game on both offenses. I’m hoping for a high scoring pass heavy game but it seems most primetime games this season have been low scoring and brutal to watch. I think Kelce has a big night as well as Derek Carr. I like the Chiefs to escape with a win by a score of 30-24.

Go get strategic and use your persuasion and negotiation skills out in the fantasy football trade market. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 6 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

AJ Brown – Philadelphia Eagles

AJ had his most human game of the season thus far going for 3 receptions for 32 yards on 7 targets. Prior to week 5 Brown had at least 5 receptions and 69 receiving yards in every game. This is the opportunity to strike and buy AJ at hopefully not too high a cost. Try to buy low but don’t expect it to be easy. Brown has a great remaining schedule that should let him capitalize and dominate fantasy leagues. Hurts loves to target Brown anywhere and everywhere on the field and Brown has yet to drop a pass this season. If you can buy low on Brown you put yourself in a great position moving forward.

Drake London – Atlanta Falcons

Drake is a very talented rookie on the Falcons. He started the season quite hot but has since cooled off. The past 2 weeks London combined for just 6 receptions for 52 yards on 14 targets. Drake has been targeted 39 times through 5 weeks which is 17 more than next highest Kyle Pitts. London has 10+ more receptions than any pass catcher in Atlanta. The Falcons take on the 49ers tough defense next week but with Atlanta needing to throw more moving forward, London should continue to be targeted heavily and relied upon by Mariota.

Najee Harris – Pittsburgh Steelers

Najee in the buy low section?? Yup. The stud RB struggled immensely yesterday when he rushed 11 times for just 20 yards. He did catch 3 of his 4 targets for 16 yards as well. The Bills defense flexed all game and made life hectic for everyone on the Steelers which was expected. Although the blowout score had much to do with this, Jaylen Warren had more rushing yards than Harris despite less than half the number of carries, and also Warren caught more targets and had more receiving yards than Najee. The Steelers are usually a run heavy team but with all the changes going on it seems hard to keep up with teams and establish a solid run game. Najee is a huge name after last season and you can attempt to buy him low in hopes he turns things around. Be warned the Steelers get the Tampa Bay run defense next game.

Kenneth Walker III – Seattle Seahawks

If Walker is available in your league, you better scoop him up if someone hasn’t already. Rashaad Penny got hurt in week 5 and he should be out a long time if not the entire remaining season. Walker is going to take over as RB1 for the Seahawks who love to run the ball. The Seattle team and fans are all very high on the Michigan State rookie and its now his time to impact his team and your fantasy team. Walker could be one of those sneaky league winners. He rushed just 8 times in week 5 but accrued 88 rushing yards and scored his first TD of his NFL career. The future is bright for Walker as long as he can stay healthy unlike most Seattle RBs. Buy Walker low and hope he performs to the highest of his abilities.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Travis Etienne – Jacksonville Jaguars

Etienne rushed for 71 yards on 10 attempts and caught 3 of his 5 targets for 43 yards in week 5. He set career highs in both rushing and receiving yards. I still like Robinson over Etienne moving forward though. Robinson is still RB1 and a good chunk of Etienne’s work came in the 2-minute drill. I would sell Etienne high after his best game of the season. The schedule moving forward benefits Robinson as long as he can stay healthy.

Dalvin Cook – Minnesota Vikings

Cook had a great game against Chicago in week 5. The franchise RB finished with 94 rushing yards and 2 TDs. He also contributed 2 receptions for 27 yards. We all know what Cook is capable of. The problem here is the usage. Mattison seems to be taking up more playing time than in the past and it shows with Cooks playing time steadily decreasing. Cook is a stud and you always start your studs, but if you can sell him high and find a top 10 RB, I say pull the trigger and aim for the moon. Also, a good idea to scoop up Mattison if he’s available given Cooks injury history.

Michael Carter – New York Jets

Michael Carter found the end zone twice in a big win over Miami yesterday even though he only had 33 combined total yards. Take advantage of those TDs and sell him as high as you can. Carter is losing time to rookie Breece Hall and for good reason. Hall had a career day rushing for 97 yards with a TD and adding 100 receiving yards on just 2 receptions. Hall should continue to lead the way as long as he continues to play effectively. Carter might be at his peak for trade opportunities so I would send out some good offers.

Leonard Fournette – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Lenny scored 2 TDs (like Carter above) but is losing playing time to Rachaad White. Tampa Bay’s remaining schedule looks pretty beneficial for White to get more involved. Fournette is RB1 and should still be a solid play every week as long as he is healthy, but with White cutting into his playing time it might limit his potential. Fournette and White both had a good number of chances through the first 3 quarters of action until Fournette took over in the 4th quarter. Fournette caught 10 of 11 targets for an impressive 83 yards. With his time decreasing and amazing week 5 stats, this is a great time to sell sky high as the Bucs schedule gets easier which benefits White.
