Waiver Hub – Week 9
Happy Tuesday, Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB.
Week 9 starts in a couple of days with a matchup between the 2-win Ravens and the 2-win Dolphins in Miami. Baltimore is currently favored by 7.5 points with a point total over/under of 50.5.
Fantasy football is up and running, so it is time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here is another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.
Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off waivers.
TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK
Tyrone Tracy Jr – New York Giants
Cam Skattebo had a gruesome dislocated ankle injury against the Eagles on Sunday opening the door for Tyrone Tracy Jr to take back RB1 for the Giants. It is unclear the length of time Cam will be out, but while he is Tracy should get a nice workload both on the ground and through the air. Devin Singletary would move into RB2 for the team.
Quarterbacks
Sam Darnold – Seattle Seahawks
Sam Darnold is coming off his BYE week and is poised to make a run with the Seahawks. Next up is Washington for Darnold who we just saw Patty Mahomes beat handily last night. Darnold to Smith-Njigba is going to continue to be repetitive.
Running Backs
Tyrone Tracy Jr – New York Giants

Isaiah Davis – New York Jets
Isaiah Davis had his best game of the season rising for 65 yards and caught 5 passes for 44 yards. With Allen on IR, Davis is RB2 for the Jets. There are rumors that Breece Hall could be involved in a trade this season which would create a big opportunity for Davis.
Wide Receivers
Troy Franklin – Denver Broncos
Tray Franklin has scored 3 TDs in his last 2 games and has a total of 18 targets. That is Troys 4th game with at least 8 targets. Only Sutton has more targets, receptions, and receiving yards on the team. Helps when your team puts up 77 points in the last 2 games.
Malik Washington – Miami Dolphins
Malik Washington scored his 1st receiving TD on the season. He has a minimum of 5 targets and 4 receptions in each of his last 4 games. Washington has been the next WR up since the Tyreek Hill injury. Tua played phenomenal last game so let us see if it was a fluke or sign of things to come.
Tight Ends
Harold Fannin Jr – Cleveland Browns
Fannin Jr is back on the TE waivers list. He is leading the Browns in receptions and receiving yards this season and has scored 2 TDs in his last 4 games. He has a week 9 BYE but then gets a lousy Jets defense.
