Waiver Hub – Week 5

Happy Tuesday, Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB.
Week 5 is coming in just a few days when the 49ers visit the Rams. Both teams fighting for their 4th win. The Rams are 5.5-point favorites currently with a point total over/under of 47.5.
Fantasy football is up and running, so it is time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here is another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.
Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.
TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK
Woody Marks – Houston Texans
Woody Marks scored his fist and second TDs of his NFL career in week 4 when he faced the Titans. He caught one TD and rushed for another. He led the team with 17 carries and 69 rushing yards. He also caught 4 of his 5 targets for 50 receiving yards. He is creeping in on RB1 status after that explosive performance.
Quarterbacks
Jaxson Dart – New York Giants
Dart made his first career NFL start and did not disappoint. He scored the first TD of the game with his legs and went on to beat the LA Chargers. He threw a TD as well and now gets to play the Saints who have not been too stellar this season.
Running Backs
Woody Marks – Houston Texans

Kenneth Gainwell – Pittsburgh Steelers
Gainwell got the start in Dublin over the weekend when Jaylen Warren was a late inactive. Gainwell took full advantage of the opportunity rushing 19 times for 99 yards and 2 rushing TDs. He also caught all 6 of his targets for 35 receiving yards. Gainwell is active in rushing, receiving, and even kick returns if your league allows those points. Even with Warren coming back healthy next week, Gainwell is a nice asset to have.
Wide Receivers
Romeo Doubs – Green Bay Packers
Doubs had an insane 3 TD game during the 40-40 SNF tie. He led the team in targets and receptions and tied Golden for receiving yards. 3 TDs means he is being targeted in or around the red zone which is vital in fantasy football. Although Green Bay has multiple options each week, Doubs is certainly making a case for himself. Just be aware he has a week 5 BYE.
Darius Slayton/Wan’Dale Robinson – New York Giants
This is a toss up between Giants receivers after the season ending injury to Malik Nabers. Robinson had 5 targets and Slayton had 4 targets. They both caught 3 of their targets but Robinson only had 14 yards compared to Slaytons 44. Jaxson Dart needs some playmakers and these 2 are most likely to be that.
Tight Ends
Darren Waller – Miami Dolphins
Darren Waller made his debut on MNF and made it memorable. He was targeted 4 times, caught 3 of them for 27 yards and scored twice. TDs are a hot commodity in the TE position so he could be valuable if this was not just a one hit wonder type of game. Next week he gets the Panthers defense which should not be a big challenge for him.
