Trade Hub – Week 3

Welcome back! It is Monday so it is time to talk trades in my weekly Trade Hub article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. I hope your season is going well, but even if is not, there is a lot of season to go.

Week 2 is almost in the books but not until we get 2 MNF matchups. First the Buccaneers go to the Texans and then the Chargers visit the Raiders. The Texans are favored by 2.5 with and over/under if 42.5 while the Chargers are favored by 3.5 with an over/under of 46.5.  My predictions for these games are an upset Bucs victory by a score of 28-20 and a Chargers victory by a score of 24-17.

Always make sure you are aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 3 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

Brian Thomas Jr – Jacksonville Jaguars

Brian Thomas Jr has had a slow start to the season. His combined stats from the first 2 weeks of this season are 5 receptions, 60 receiving yards, and 1 carry for 9 rushing yards resulting in a rushing TD. The positive here is that we know his capabilities and he also has a team high 19 targets. The looks are there, now he just needs to convert those opportunities. Jags are averaging 26 points per game on offense as well, so we know they are moving the ball. Trade for him with that frustrated Thomas owner before he starts producing like normal.

Terry McLaurin – Washington Commanders

Scary Terry makes the players to buy list once again. He improved since week 1, but still not where his owners expect him to be. He had 48 receiving yards catching 5 of 9 targets. Terry led the team in targets but still has not scored. It is only a matter of time before he breaks back out. Offer a trade if you want a decent WR/FLEX for the rest of the season.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Rashid Shaheed – New Orleans Saints

Shaheed was targeted 9 times and caught 6 of them in week 1. He followed that up in week 2 with 4 receptions for 52 yards and a TD. It is a great time to sell him sky high. Shaheed does not have an elite QB throwing to him and he is 3rd on the team in targets after 2 weeks. Saints have a Seattle defense next who has been playing very well.

Jerome Ford – Cleveland Browns

Jerome Ford is stuck in a Browns backfield that is getting crowded. Both rookies Dylan Sampson and Quinshon Judkins were heavily involved in week 2 both on the ground and through the air. I would unload Ford before it is too late. The Browns must face the defenses of Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota, and Pittsburgh all in a row. See if you can sell him for a more involved RB that is not in a committee.
