Waiver Hub – Week 13

Happy Tuesday November 26! Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.

Last night we saw the Ravens beat the Chargers on MNF by a score of 30-23. Derrick Henry rushed for 140 yards but failed to score a TD for the first time this season. The 8-4 Ravens will host the 9-2 Eagles on Sunday while the 7-4 Chargers take on the 6-5 Falcons in Atlanta. The MNF next week is between the Browns and the Broncos.

It is time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here is another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.

Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off waivers.

TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Russell Wilson – Pittsburgh Steelers

Wilson has not had eye popping numbers, but he has averaged 242 passing yards per game since starting in week 7. Wilson has accounted for 7 TD passes and 1 rushing TD. He gets the Bengals this week which is great news. The Bengals just allowed Justin Herbert to go off on them and Lamar Jackson did the same the week prior. Russel Wilson should be able to pick apart the Cinci defense with George Pickens and company.

Quarterbacks

Running Backs

Ameer Abdullah – Las Vegas Raiders

Abdullah played well in week 12, mainly in the receiving game. He caught 5 of his 6 targets for 37 receiving yards and caught a TD now in back-to-back weeks. It is unclear whether the Raiders will have Mattison and/or White for week 13 so watch that closely. If they are unable to go it will be Abdullah time again. He has a tough matchup with the Chiefs next, but after that he gets some soft defenses that could help you in the fantasy playoffs.

Jeremy McNichols – Washington Commanders

McNichols is in an interesting position just like Abdullah above. Both Brain Robinson and Austin Ekeler are banged up. Robinson has an ankle injury and Ekeler just sustained a concussion. Both could be back in time for week 13 but that is up in the air as of now. McNichols could potentially get RB1 carries and cash those in as he already has 4 TDs on the season at RB3 on the depth chart. Tennessee Titans are not the greatest matchup but hard to ignore Washington’s offense when things are clicking.

Wide Receivers

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – Tennessee Titans

Westbrook-Ikhine has 6 receiving TDs on the season. More specifically he has 6 receiving TDs in his last 7 games. He may not be getting targeted very much or even catching much, but when he does, he clearly makes it worth it. Tennessee has Washington next followed by the Jaguars and Bengals. Those are some good matchups for the WR who has twice as many TDs as next best Titan WR Calvin Ridley. As long as Will Levis continues to throw TD passes, Westbrook-Ikhine is most likely going to be on the receiving end of those.

Devaughn Vele – Denver Broncos

Vele has been holding his own this season and has been a help for rookie Bo Nix. Bo Nix is playing like a veteran right now and Vele is one of the beneficiaries of him. Devaughn has 144 receiving yards in his last 2 games combined and gets the Browns defense for MNF. Nix has been slinging the ball lately and Sutton and Vele are cashing in on that.

Tight Ends

Noah Gray – Kansas City Chiefs

Noah Gray has scored 2 TDs in each of his last 2 games. Yes Noah Gray, not Travis Kelce. Gray isn’t targeted too often but when he is he almost always converts. He is worth an add based off his recent TD surge and rather easy upcoming schedule,
