NHL DFS: 2/18/23

If you didn’t hear the news, Toronto made a blockbuster trade, obtaining Ryan O’Reilly from the Blues. This has an effect on tonight’s slate, as Toronto is heavily favored against Montreal at home. We still want to target this game, but checking the starting lines before game time is essential. O’Reilly will NOT accrue points tonight on DraftKings, but he will play, which could affect who you roster. For this writing, I will be posting TOR 1 and 2 as they are known. The assumption is O’Reilly will play on TOR 2 with Marner and Tavares.

With that out of the way, we have an 8-game slate with many good matchups. My favorites are Toronto, Carolina, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Buffalo. Buffalo and San Jose pay each other tonight and that game has the highest implied total. Both teams are scoring a lot and neither can play defense. I will finish this with my beloved Red Wings, who are currently on a 5 game winning streak, tearing through Western Canada with wins in Edmonton and Calgary. They play a Seattle team who ranks in the button half of the league in goals against. In these 5 games Dylan Larkin has 6 goals and 6 assists. Let’s ride the hot streak while we can.
