PrizePicks Xmas Day!

Prize Picks is a game that allows you the thrill to pick fantasy players and root for or against guys in every game, without the fear of going up against DFS professionals or massive multi-entry players.

Simply pick a selection of 2, 3, 4 or 5 players and decide whether they will go over or under their fantasy points projection. No other entries to fight against,  no optimal lineup builders to outsmart. You evaluate a game and the situation for individual players and place your picks!

Let’s look at the Christmas Day NFL showdown!

MIN Vikings (50.5)

@

NO Saints (-6.5)

Don’t stress each individual player. Don’t make it that hard on yourself. Find your story on how the game will play out and apply that across the board. If you make sense of the game flow needed for the outcome you will believe will happen then all the players should neatly fall into line.

This game pits the nearly #1 Defensive Line with the nearly 1st run unit. I think this game has potential to go either way for a slow paced grind out to a full blown shoot out. Personally I am going with a slow start and fireworks to break out in the second half. The pass blocking by the Vikings is not great and the Saints are one of the best in the league at pressuring the QB and creating sacks. Each side should test the other on the ground frequently and I don’t see either side getting off to a fast start.

I’m high on both RB1s and particularly Thielen and Sanders in the WR game. I have a good feeling of high TE usage and could see Irv and Jared Cook having solid days. Kirk is going to have to dump off to Dalvin, Thielen and Irv all day and struggle to get Jefferson enough time for deep shots.

For PrizePicks you need to select 2, 3, 4 or 5 players and choose if they will go over or under their projected point totals. Basically playing by standard PPR fantasy scoring on most platforms. Make your selections, choose your entry amount, and win real money on the spot when you are correct! It’s the latest fantasy sports game and one of the most fun around!

See their App or Page for full scoring, rules, and eligibility requirements.

The Breakdown

Kirk Cousins (18.0) 250 yards and 2 TD

As much as I love Dalvin, I don’t know that he is enough to get the win here. I believe Kirk will have to get some work done and put up some numbers. Hey one of these TD’s could be a short shovel to Cook! I am going OVER.

Drew Brees (19.5)  290 yards 2 TD

Earlier in the year this is a lock but the Vikes D has been much better lately and seemingly giving up more to the ground and much less to the QB’s and WR’s. Here’s the thing, I think he rushed back as to not lose his job to Tay Hill. THey will ride Kamara and trick plays on the goal line and Brees isn’t going to get the chance to put up bigger numbers than these. UNDER

Dalvin Cook (21) 110 total yards with 4 catches for a TD

They are going to have to try to lean into Cook, and dump off passes are going to be a big thing today with how poorly the Viking front has protected Kirk in the passing game. I’m probably avoiding this spot in a Prize Pick entry but if you make me choose, he could easily fall in for 2 TDs so I am on the OVER.

Alvin Kamara (22) 90 total yards with 7 catches with a TD

This seems high but I just have this feeling this game is Kamara, Kamara and more Kamara. I could see him being 50 of the Offense and easily topping this number. It’s nearly a lock if you ask me, and I guess if you are reading this, you are. OVER

Justin Jefferson (16.5) 4 Catches 65 yards and a TD

I am not sure Kirk will get the chance to chuck many deep balls so it will be quick hits and WR screens to get Jefferson the ball today. He certainly could hit this but I think a score is the only way. I much prefer Thielen today and am most likely avoiding this play. If I have to pick, UNDER.

Emmanuel Sander (13) 7 catches 60 yards

I imagine he will get the targets, it’s a matter if he halls em all in. I don;t see a strong path the TDs for him so he has to catch a ton of balls. Could he do it? Absolutely but I like the other 2 options below much better. Avoid this spot as I only lean slightly UNDER.

Adam THielen (15.8) 5 catches 50 yards TD

I’m loving the short quick strikes today for the Vikings and have made it clear I prefer Theilan in the MIN passing game OVER

Taysom Hill (3.5) 2 Catches 15 yards

I give him even odds to score today, passing or otherwise. COMPLETELY SMASH THIS OVER!

Irv Smith Jr (7.8) 4 catches 40 yards

He really has been a solid target all year and would love to see a few check downs to him. I’m not playing him at this projection though and see more paths to UNDER than the other way.

Jared Cook (7.8) 2 catches 20 yards and a TD

I LOVE this matchup today and see him getting there with or without that TD. Not much to say but hit that OVER button if you aren’t using Taysom or Brees.

I hate picking kickers as it is so random and both carry injury notes into this game. Probably OVER on both but I will avoid in my picks!

Good Luck!!!

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the contract's $55 million-per-year average makes Love the highest-paid QB in NFL history and includes "a record $75M Signing Bonus plus $155M in new full guarantees."
