Pre-Draft QB Hub

The 2025 fantasy football season is rapidly approaching! I have a pre-draft hub for each offensive position (QB, RB, WR, TE) with a sleeper, a breakout, and a bust. Mike here as always helping you get to fantasy football glory. Good luck and happy drafting.

SLEEPER – Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys)

Dak is my sleeper choice at QB this season. Most have Dak as the 12th or 13th QB in pre-draft rankings. I think if he is healthy for the entire season he should be able to easily be a top 10 QB in fantasy this season. Yes, the Cowboys love to shoot themselves in the foot season after season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t benefit in fantasy points. Dak has a lot of weapons this season including CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson. Not to mention WR’s Turpin and Tolbert who had decent seasons last year without consistent QB play. Dak has played 3 different seasons in his career where he finished the season with 4000+ passing yards and 30+ passing TDs. Dak also has 3 seasons in his career with 6 rushing TDs always having the threat to sneak in a rushing TD.

BREAKOUT – Drake Maye (New England Patriots)

Drake Maye is coming up on his sophomore season with the Patriots. He is around the 15th QB in most pre-draft QB rankings. Maye is a dual threat QB with a new coach and some new surrounding talent. Stefon Diggs could be a big piece in helping Drake Maye breakout this season. Maye finished with 421 rushing yards in his rookie campaign and threw for 15 TDs. I believe Drake can surpass both stats and help your fantasy team thrive. The first half of the Patriots schedule is set up nicely for Maye to get hot early.

BUST – Sam Darnold (Seattle Seahawks)

Darnold is coming off the best fantasy season of his career with the Vikings last season. This season he is QB1 for the Seahawks. New teammates and coaches and a lot of expectation. Darnold has Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp which can be vital, but Darnold is set to regress. This is Darnold’s 5th different team since he was a rookie back in 2018. Seattle also has Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet in the backfield so it will be interesting the ratio of run and pass plays this season with Darnold behind center. Sam has what he needs to succeed but the odds are stacked against him. I don’t see him as a top 20, maybe even top 25 fantasy QB this season.
