Waiver Hub – Week 14
Happy Tuesday December 3rd, Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. It’s time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here’s another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.
MNF last night was a high scoring affair resulting in a 41-32 in for the Denver Broncos. Winston nearly eclipsed 500 passing yards, half of those went to Jerry Jeudy, and Denver’s defense had 2 INTs that went back for TDs. Denver moves to 8-5 and has a BYE coming up while the Browns move to 3-9 and get the Steelers next. The MNF matchup next week is between the 4-8 Bengals and the 5-7 Cowboys.
Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.
TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK
Isaac Guerendo – San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers continue to get hit hard in the injury department. Christian McCaffrey is back on the IR and this time around he is joined with his back up RB Jordan Mason. If their season wasn’t already going very wrong, now they have Isaac Guerendo at RB1 who was a RB3/RB4 to start the season. If you are able to grab Isaac and roster him this week he has some softer defenses coming up in the Bears, the Rams, and the Dolphins.
Quarterbacks
Jameis Winston – Cleveland Browns
Winston went off on MNF. He threw for 497 passing yards, connected for 4 TDs, and rushed for 11 additional yards. Winston now has 3 games over 330 passing yards in his last 5 games. He clearly is slinging it and has the receivers and tight ends to keep doing so. He has a rematch with Pittsburgh upcoming after they got the best of him in week 12 but I’m going to assume he will play better this time around. He has the ability to win you clutch fantasy games down the stretch.
Russell Wilson – Pittsburgh Steelers
Wilson started week 13 with a bad INT, but after that he didn’t look back. He finished with 414 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. Since taking over the QB1 spot in Pittsburgh Wilson has 4 games with 260+ passing yards and 3 multi-TD games. He has CLE, PHI, and BAL for his next 3 games which isn’t terrible.
Running Backs
Isaac Guerendo – San Francisco 49ers

Gus Edwards – LA Chargers
Gus Edwards led his team in rushing attempts in their last game even though it was only 6 carries. He turned that into 32 rushing yards and caught his lone target for a 1-yard reception. More importantly Edwards led the backfield in routes ran. He has a tough matchup next with the Chiefs, but if you can roster him, he gets the Buccaneers defense the next week.
Wide Receivers
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine – Tennessee Titans
All Nick does is score TDs. Since week 6 Nick has 8 games and 8 TDs. He didn’t score in one of those games but last week scored twice to average 1 TD per game. He saw a season high 8 targets in week 13 and has 19 over his last 3 games. The Titans next 3 opponents are the Jaguars, the Bengals, and the Colts. That’s an ideal schedule for a guy who is just a TD machine at this point.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling – New Orleans Saints
MVS hit a switch in week 9 and has not looked back. What is wild is how efficient he has been for Derek Carr and the Saints. Marquez only has 7 receptions in his last 3 games, but a total of 232 yards and 4 TDs. Yes, more than half of his receptions end up in the end zone. He is a big play WR that is taking advantage of his targets and gets the Giants and Commanders next to continue his efficient streak of games.
Tight Ends
Hunter Henry – New England Patriots
Henry is doing all he can to help rookie Drake Maye lead the Patriots. He just hasn’t found the end zone this season other than once back in week 6. That isn’t stopping Maye from targeting Henry. Hunter has 8+ targets in 5 of his last 7 games and leads the entire team in targets and receiving yards on the season. The Patriots are heading for their week 14 BYE, but if you need TE help down the stretch he is someone who could be a difference maker.
