Start/Sit Hub Week 11

Happy week 11 of the 2024 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit HUB! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out. For all things fantasy football, follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard).

This week’s Thursday Night Football game is between the 7-3 Washington Commanders and the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles. The game is in Philadelphia who are favored by 3.5 points with a total over/under of 48.5. I think this has the potential to be a high scoring game and full of fantasy players. My prediction for this game is an Eagles win by a score of 34-31.

I’m here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.

TNF START/SIT

Start – Terry McLaurin – Going with my gut here starting scary Terry. If you look at his career specifically against the Eagles, you will see that he has averaged 85 yards per game against Philly in his career. He has a TD or 60+ receiving yards in each of their last 5 meetings and in 9 out of 10 total meetings. If you want to stay competitive with the Eagles you are going to have to throw on them and Terry is the best WR on the team with a rookie QB who is looking like a lock for OROY.

Sit – Brian Robinson Jr – Brian Robinson Jr is currently questionable for TNF after missing each of Washingtons last 2 games. Even if he is a full go by tomorrow, I don’t like Robinson in this spot against the Eagles defense. The Eagle’s defense has shut down almost every RB they have faced. Rico Dowdle just surpassed 50 yards last week on Philly which is a solid performance compared to others and don’t forget starters were off the field by the 4th quarter. The Eagles have given up 2 rushing TDs to RBs this entire season.

Last night the Eagles got a home win over the Commanders by a score of 26-18. Scary Terry was anything but scary getting shut down by a rookie CB. Also Robinson scored a rushing TD making him just the 3rd to do so on Philly this season. They both made me eat my words. Saquon was the difference maker in this game scoring 2 rushing TDs and totaling 198 yards. The 8-2 Eagles play the Rams on SNF next week and the Commanders take on Dallas next. The MNF game this week belongs to the Texans and the Cowboys.

Some of the games I am looking forward to most in week 11 include the Ravens/Steelers, Seahawks/49ers, and the Chiefs/Bills. Ravens and Steelers defensive battle, CMC and company v the Seahawks, and Josh Allen v Patrick Mahomes. Should be a great weekend of football.

WEEK 10 BYES – CARDINALS, BUCCANEERS, PANTHERS, GIANTS

START OF THE WEEK

Start – Nico Collins – Ok so I hyped up Collins last week only for him to not play. This week he is expected to play but obviously keep an eye out in case he effects your team. He gets the struggling Cowboys in prime time on MNF. What more could he ask for? Even gets the extra day of rest. Nico is a beast and need I remind you he is averaging over 100 receiving yards per game this season.

Ravens @ Steelers

Start – George Pickens – The Ravens have been giving up the most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season which is great news for Russell Wilson and George Pickens. Over his last 3 games played. Pickens is averaging 92 receiving yards and scored in 2 of the 3 games.the last 5 times these teams matched up they have stayed at 30 total points or less but luckily Pickens only needs 1 or 2 big plays for his fantasy value.

Sit – Pat Freiermuth – Freiermuth is vital for the Steelers but his volume lacks. He has only been targeted by Russel Wilson 3 times or less in each of his last 5 games. He is TD dependent and that is a lot to ask with these teams facing off in a typically low scoring affair.

Jaguars @ Lions

Start – Amon-Ra St. Brown – St. Brown continues to light up defenses. After not scoring in the first 2 weeks of the season, Amon-Ra has a receiving TD in every single game since tallying 7 TDs. Only Ja’Marr Chase has more

Receiving TDs this season. The Jaguars will have their hands full with the entire Lions offense. The Jaguars are 6th worst in points allowed per game this season with over 26.

Sit – Travis Etienne Jr – Travis has been struggling to stay healthy and struggling to produce for fantasy managers. He had 11 carries for 44 rushing yards last week which has been his best statistical output since week 5. The Lions defense has its flaws but rushing defense does not seem to be one of those flaws. Etienne and Tank Bigsby are not high in my RB rankings this week.

Rams @ Patriots

Start – Kyren Williams – Kyren Williams has the 3rd most rushing attempts this season and is tied for 3rd in rushing TDs this season. Kyren has not scored in his last 2 games after scoring in every game prior. He is used heavily in the game plan for LA and should get another week of a big workload that he can turn into fantasy points.

Sit – Antonio Gibson – Gibson has fallen off lately and has not impacted the game or fantasy. He has 14 total carries in his last 4 games with an added 21 receiving yards. He has not scored a TD on the season and Rhamondre Stevenson is ahead of him on the depth chart and is getting 20 carry games lately.

Browns @ Saints

Start – David Njoku – Njoku has been playing well and gets a middle of the pack defense in New Orleans this week. David has 7+ targets in 4 consecutive starts and has scored in 2 of his last 3 games. He should continue to get volume with Jameis Winston behind center.

Sit – Marquez Valdes-Scantling – MVS had 109 receiving yards and 2 TDs last game for the Saints. Yes, that is great but has not been anywhere near his normal. Marquez has not had more than 3 targets in a game all season and only had 3 receptions total this entire season. MVS should have people’s attention but with that kind of exposure it is hard to be fantasy relevant even with injured pass catchers out ahead of him.

Colts @ Jets

Start – Jonathan Taylor – JT is a beast and is matchup proof most of the time. He gets the Jets defense which is obviously easier to run on rather than throwing on them. When the Colts get Taylor 20+ carries in a game he averages 104 rushing yards and has a TD 75% of the time. I do not believe the QB change will affect JT’s fantasy performance.

Sit – Anthony Richardson – Richardson has burned me already this season and we all know he was benched. He gets another shot this week, but I am staying away. Jets have a solid pass defense which is not ideal for a QB who has struggled throwing more INTs than TD passes. Richardson will need to run wild to give me any confidence in him.

Vikings @ Titans

Start – Aaron Jones – I like Aaron Jones here because the Vikings are going to need to establish the run game to get their offense back on track after averaging 17 points per game in their last 3 games. If Jones is healthy, he should be utilized heavily in the run game and pass game.

Sit – Sam Darnold – For as good as Sam has been this season, he looks off lately and it is concerning. Darnold has 10 INTs this season which is tied for the most in the NFL. 5 of those INTs have taken place in his last 2 games. The Titan’s defense is not a push over, but the Vikings might want to run more given Sam’s struggles.

Raiders @ Dolphins

Start – De’Von Achane – Achane is the player I feel safest starting from Miami and Vegas. No matter the game flow, Achane gets volume with carries and is often targeted in the pass game. Hill and Waddle have been underperforming and/or inconsistent this season. Achane has double digit carries and 5+ receptions in each of the Dolphins last 3 games.

Sit – Zamir White – Zamir scored last week. Now that I have gotten the good news out it is time for the reality check. He missed weeks 5 and week 6 and has played in the Raiders last 3 games prior to their week 10 BYE. He had a total of 11 carries for 22 rushing yards and caught his only target for 14 receiving yards. No volume with Mattison getting more volume and a teams whose offense is toward the bottom of the NFL.

Packers @ Bears

Start – Jayden Reed – Going back to Reed this week against the Bears. He has only played them twice in his young career, but the total receiving yards in those games combined for Reed is 160 which gives an average of 80. Reed is coming off a 113 receiving yard performance and got a BYE week to rest and stay healthy.

Sit – DJ Moore – Maybe this will be a reverse jinx pick but seems unlikely given the Bears offensive struggles lately. They have only scored 27 total points in their last 3 games. Caleb Williams is looking more like the rookie he is, and DJ Moore has been subpar. Over Moores last 4 games he is averaging just over 3 receptions and about 26 receiving yards per game. Also, no scores in that time.

Falcons @ Broncos

Start – Austin Estime – I am on the Estime hype train this week when he takes on Atlanta. It appears that he has taken over RB1 duties for the Broncos and will get more volume against the Falcons. The rookie out of Notre Dame is averaging over 5 yards per carry and has a chance to solidify his presence in the offense against Atlanta who gives up 4.5 yards per rush on the season.

Sit – Ray-Ray McCloud – McCloud has a stout Denver pass defense this week to deal with. He scored against Dallas in week 9 but other than that he has not done much unless you get rewarded for kick returns in your fantasy league. Ray-Ray has 3 receptions or less in 5 consecutive games and has not accrued over 30 yards receiving in those games.

Seahawks @ 49ers

Start – George Kittle – The obvious pick here is CMC. After him it was a toss up for Purdy and Kittle for my start spot. Both are in a good position to succeed and can use CMCs presence to help their games. Kittle has a TD in 6 different games this year including a 2 TD performance. Kittle is a handful, and the Seahawks will not have enough hands to stop everybody on the 49er’s offense.

Sit – Jordan Mason – After so many games playing huge minutes/snaps while McCaffrey was out, he now returns to RB2 behind the do it all CMC. Mason had just 1 rush last game and against Dallas prior to his BYE week he only mustered 18 rushing yards. It is back to CMC insanity and there is not much room for Mason as long as Christian stays healthy.

Chiefs @ Bills

Start – Kareem Hunt – This could potentially be Hunts last game at RB1 given that Isaiah Pacheco should be healthy enough by next week to start again. Hunt is a workhorse RB who has scored in 4 of 6 games and when he has 20+ carries he gets the minimum of 59 rushing yards and minimum of 1 rushing TD. The Bills defense should be ready to fight, but they have not been great defending the run all year including last week when JT rushed for 114 yards.

Sit – Xavier Worthy – Worthy the rookie has been almost non existent in the Chiefs last 2 games. Xavier had -10 rushing yards in week 9 and then caught just 1 of his targets for 11 yards in week 10. The Chiefs offense has shifted away from Worthy and has been heavy on Kelce, Hunt, and Hopkins. I think the focus will stay there and not give too much exposure for Worthy.

Bengals @ Chargers

Start – Justin Herbert – Herbert has been playing his best football lately and has his team on a 3-game winning streak. In those last 3 games he has 5 passing TDs and a rushing TD. Justin hasn’t turned the ball over since week 2. Bengals defense is beatable and they are playing in LA.

Sit – Tanner Hudson – I get why you would want to start this TE after his best game of the season when he caught a TE and added 42 receiving yards. But this week Tee Higgins is expected to start, and Mike Gesicki is higher on the depth chart at TE. Tanner will be 4th or lower on Joe Burrows target list this week.

Texans @ Cowboys

Start – Nico Collins – SEE START OF THE WEEK TOP OF PAGE

Sit – Jake Ferguson – Ferguson has had good games and bad games. He has already played 5 NFL defenses that are top 10 in defending opposing TEs. In those 5 games he is averaging 24 receiving yards per game. In the other 3 games he took part in he is averaging almost 80 yards per game. Texans are top 5 against TEs, and Fergie still has not scored this season.
