Happy Tuesday, Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.
Last night the Steelers took down the Giants on MNF by a score of 26-18. Stand out performances were Najee Harris rushing for 114 yards, Tyron Tracy Jr rushing for 145 yards and a TD, and Darius Slayton racked up 108 receiving yards. Both kickers had 4 field goals apiece. The 6-2 Steelers have their BYE week next while the 2-6 Giants face the 6-2 Commanders next.
It is time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here is another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.
Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.
TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK
Matthew Stafford – LA Rams
Stafford started off week 8 with an upset victory over the Minnesota Vikings on TNF. He threw for 4 passing TDs and had 279 passing yards. Stafford had not had even 2 passing TDs in a game all season before last Thursday. What makes Stafford appealing now is the health of his arsenal around him. Stafford now has a healthy Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. 12 of his 25 completions went to the duo of WRs and they accounted for 157 of his 279 passing yards. The Rams get the Seahawks next which could be another good matchup for Stafford and his weapons.
Quarterbacks
Matthew Stafford – LA Rams

Jameis Winston – Cleveland Browns
To the surprise of few, without Deshaun Watson behind center the team got better. Jameis started week 8 and did not look back. He threw for 334 passing yards and 3 passing TDs. He had a near perfect game except for a lost fumble. He took down the heavily favorited Ravens and solidified his spot at QB1 moving forward. Jameis made everyone around him better and that is a boost to him and his receivers moving forward. Winston is a solid streamer if you are in need of a QB.
Running Backs
Tyler Allgeier – Atlanta Falcons
Tyler Allgeier is clearly behind Bijan Robinson on the depth chart, but he still contributes weekly. Allgeier 35 carries total in his last 3 games combined totaling 174 rushing yards. It is also clear that Allgeier will continue to get touches. The Falcons take on the Cowboys and Saints next which is great for Tyler and the Falcons offense. If you need a RB for a BYE week or just need some depth, Allgeier is your guy if he is not already owned.
Braelon Allen – New York Jets
Yes, the Jets are a total mess, so it is reasonable to not want to pick up Allen but hear me out. The Jets have lost 5 consecutive games which might help Allen. With the season fading away currently they might as well keep Allen involved. He had a career high 12 carries in week 8 and scored his 3rd TD of the season. Breece Hall has 4 TDs this season to compare. Allen has a tough matchup with Houston next, but after that he has favorable matchups the rest of the fantasy season.
Wide Receivers
Cedric Tillman – Cleveland Browns
It appears that Deshaun Watson getting hurt and Jameis Winston now playing QB has completely flipped Tillmans production around. He had 5 targets through 6 weeks of action and then exploded for 21 total targets in his last 2 games. Tillman caught 7 passes for 99 receiving yards and scored 2 TDs against the Ravens. Tough matchup with the Chargers next, but after the showing against the Ravens it is hard to fade the duo of Winston and Tillman. If Tillman is already taken you can consider both Elijah Moore and Jerry Jeudy who were both targeted plentifully.
Keon Coleman – Buffalo Bills
Coleman is back in the waiver hub and for good reason. Most people dropped Coleman when they found out that Amari Cooper was becoming a Bill, but no so fast! Coleman has had back to back 7 target games even with Cooper playing. Coleman isn’t the only player getting targeted aplenty. He has spread the ball around to Shakir, Kincaid, and Cooper. Coleman has been clutch and has totaled 195 receiving yards in his las 2 games and now has 3 receiving TDs on the season.
Tight Ends
Cade Otton – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cade Otton has been on fire. If he is available in your league you shouldn’t hesitate to add him. The TE has 10 targets in each of his last 2 games and has been Baker Mayfield’s top target with both Mike Evan’s and Chris Godwin out. Cade is top 8 in fantasy points for TEs this season and is just 1 point away from jumping the rankings to top 5. He has scored the most TE points in the last 2 games out of all TEs in the NFL. Otton should be heavily targeted once again when the Bucs play the Chiefs next.
