Happy Tuesday, Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.
MNF went almost exactly as expected. I nailed the 23-20 final score in my week 7 Trade Hub. Both QBs threw for 2 passing TDs, Breece Hall and Ray Davis ran wild (James Cook late inactive), and both Allen Lazard and Garrett Wilson had big numbers receiving. Just the next day we get the news that Davante Adams in now a New York Jet, and Amari Cooper is now a Buffalo Bill. Wild how things change overnight. The Bills get the Titans next while the Jets get the Steelers next.
It’s time to make some moves and prepare for fantasy post season greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here’s another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.
Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.
TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK
Demario Douglas – New England Patriot
Demario Douglas finished week 6 with 6 receptions on 9 targets for 92 receiving yards and a receiving TD. Drake Maye started for the Patriots and made all the difference for Douglas. He scored his first TD of the season and will most likely be Maye’s most dangerous pass catcher moving forward. Douglas already leads the team in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and is tied with the 1 receiving TD. Patriots get a weak Miami defense next week, so Demario has another great shot at production.
Quarterbacks
Caleb Williams – Chicago Bears
Caleb not only is a rookie who has 4 wins under his belt, but he turned a switch on around week 3 and hasn’t looked back. Since the end of week 2 Caleb has 9 passing TDs in 4 games and averages over 260 passing yards per game including 2 games with 300+ passing yards. He just made the Jaguars look silly in London throwing for a season high 4 TDs and rushing for a season high 56 rushing yards. He does have a week 7 BYE, but after that he has 2 defenses in the Commanders and Cardinals that both favor Caleb.
Running Backs
Ty Chandler – Minnesota Vikings
Ty Chandler has the possibility of starting this week with Aaron Jones currently dealing with a hip injury. It is not assured that will happen but there is a good chance. Chandler should be owned by all Aaron Jones owners and if you have the space, he is a good streaming option. Keep your eyes on Aaron Jones health.
Isaac Guerendo – San Francisco 49ers
Isaac is a rookie out of Louisville who ran for 99 rushing yards on 10 attempts this past week after Jordan Mason was held out multiple times due to a shoulder injury. Mason is currently day-to-day but wouldn’t surprise me if the 49ers took caution. Christian McCaffrey is rumored to return in the coming weeks, but I don’t think they will play him until after the week 9 BYE. Either way this whole backfield is currently injury prone and why not have Isaac ready to go in case he is needed.
Wide Receivers
Josh Downs – Indianapolis Colts
Another week for Downs on the waivers for me. This is his third week in a row where he has had 9 or more targets, 7 or more receptions, and 66 or more receiving yards. He also has scored a TD in 2 of his last 3 games. Downs should be able to continue this pace with Indianapolis with either Joe Flacco or Anthony Richardson. Downs should be owned in all leagues and if he isn’t in yours, scoop that guy up.
Michael Wilson – Arizona Cardinals
Michael Wilson scored a TD in week 6 after not scoring since week 1. Marvin Harrison Jr was dealing with a concussion last game that is worth keeping your eye on going into week 7. Wilson is third on the team in receiving yards, receiving targets, and is second in receiving TDs and receptions.
Demario Douglas – New England Patriot

Tight Ends
Zach Ertz – Washington Commanders
Zach Ertz back in my waiver hub again this week. He finished week 6 with 4 receptions on 5 targets and wound up with a season high 68 receiving yards. He has been a steady target for the rookie phenom Daniels, and it is only a matter of time before Ertz finds the end zone. Only Terry McLaurin has more receiving targets, yards, and receptions on the team.
