We have 12 games tonight, with some good matchups, so I am taking a slightly different approach to the Main Slate. First I will eliminate any team with an implied goal total of less than 3. This includes Philadelphia, Anaheim, Montreal, Seattle, St Louis, Chicago, and San Jose. I may use a single player from these teams, like a shot-blocking defenseman, but I won’t be stacking them.
Next, I am looking for games with high goal totals, and there is none higher than Colorado (3.5) at Tampa Bay (3.6). Another good matchup is LA (3.3) at New Jersey (3.4).
And finally, I am looking for the highest implied totals, mostly against bad teams. This will be the chalk but very difficult to ignore. This includes Ottawa (4.2), The Rangers (3.8), Edmonton (3.8) and Pittsburgh (3.4).
