Chalk Board – Main Slate Pivots

Quarterbacks
Matt Stafford is the only QB leaning towards over 20% ownership and at his price it’s hard to argue. Sam Howell on the other side is right around the same price but the second highest owned. Purdy projects excellently in that same range as well but again, he’ll be right up there in ownership. When this happens you either eat the chalk or pivot up. Dak Prescott and Josh Allen are my targets in that case, with big ceilings and 5% ownership.

Fanduel sees Josh Allen rise up to #2 most owned and brings in the rushing value of Justin Fields and Jordan Love as excellent pivots.

Running Backs
Kyren WIlliams and Zeke Elliot are both looking at over 30% owned with Christian McCaffrey and Tony Pollard both seeing around 20% projected ownership. It also looks like people are going to heavily favor the cheap plays of Antonio Gibson and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. I’m likely eating all that chalk to some extent outside of CEH but if you want to pivot I am continuing my love of the steady performances of Rachaad White, the incredible matchup for Bijan Robinson and the very overlooked plays of Derrick Henry and Saquan Barkley. I’m back on board with Chuba and Ford this week and if you want some cheap plays let’s go to Tyjae Spears.

Fanduel shows Pollard, Zeke, and Gibson are all over 25% so I am rocking up to Kyren and CMC and finding mid value in White, Hall and Barkley.

*If Achane is OUT I will find ways to mix in Mostert on both sites

Wide ReceiversI can not touch Demarcus Robinson at over 20% owned… he just doesn’t have enough roll to make it worth that chalk. In the same sub 4k range I like Demario Douglas, Wan’Dale Robinson, Jonathan Mingo and Michael Wilson all more than him. Jayden Reed comes in second in ownership and I am chowing down on that chalk all day long. Next in line is Terry McLaurin but I am pivoting to his teammate Curtis Samuel who should see some running plays with Brian Robinson Jr. sidelined. We can go right back to CeeDee Lamb and Mike Evans as undervalued plays and round out lineups with DJ Moore who is coming in at around 4% owned but a top 15 play in my book on the day.

Fanduel moves Amari Cooper and DeAndre Hopkins into my pivot pool and sees Rashee Rice and Deebo Samuel go way over owned for my liking.

Tight Ends
Everyone’s brother, mother, and niece are playing value with Tucker Kraft and Chig Okonkwo. I get it. If you need to pay down in 2-3 places you better get some big booms out of your top plays, but I am out on these guys everywhere I can be. Tyler Conklin and Cade Otton provide the same projections for the same salary for a fraction of the ownership. I am simply locking in mid tier salary plays Cole Kmet and David Njoku and Jake Furgeson. Steady and reliable wins the TE race.

Fanduel is more or less the same plays for me.

Defenses
Currently I am seeing Bills Defense leading the way as I have probably influenced the entire DFS community in my devotion to dirt cheap DST plays… Followed by Miami and the Rams. I’ll be playing a lot of Bears, Giants, and Patriots personally.

Recent News

Justin Fields (concussion) is out for Week 3.
Fields was ruled out Wednesday, which could mean he'll be iffy for Week 4. The Jets will turn to 36-year-old journeyman QB Tyrod Taylor against a tough Bucs defense. Taylor last week completed seven of 11 attempts for 56 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo after Fields left the game with a brain injury. He'll be a downgrade for Garrett Wilson, who profiles as a WR3 in 12-team leagues this week. Look for the Jets to be even more run heavy than usual against Tampa. Taylor's rushing production could make him viable in superflex leagues.
