Waiver Hub – Week 10

Happy Tuesday! Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.

MNF last night was a one-sided affair. Chargers ran away with the W by a score of 27-6. Austin Ekeler scored 2 TDs which were the daggers against a Jets team that could only muster 2 field goals at home. Chargers rise to 4-4 while the Jets fall to 4-4. Chargers have a tough task with the Lions next week while the Jets have a date with Raiders for SNF in Vegas. Next week’s MNF is a battle between the Bills and the Broncos. Easy Bills win right? Not so fast. Bills are anything but consistent this season and Denver has been all over the place. Bills open with a 7.5 line in favor of them with an over/under of 46.5.

This week’s upcoming TNF game is the Panthers and the Bears. Can Carolina get its 2nd victory? Can Chicago get their 3rd? Bears favored by 3.5 with an over/under of 39.5. We will have to get through this primetime showdown together in order to get to a solid weekend of NFL football.

Go out and make some moves and prepare for fantasy postseason greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here’s another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.

Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.

TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Tank Dell – Houston Texans

The 3rd round rookie WR set a career high in targets on Sunday with 11 and converted them into 6 receptions for 114 yards and 2 TDs. He came up huge helping his team beat Tampa Bay and helping CJ Stroud have a record-breaking game to remember. Dell has 3 games this season with 5+ receptions, 72+ receiving yards, and 1+ TDs. Those are big numbers for a rookie to have with a rookie QB on a Houston Texans team not many expected much production from. Tanks schedule is a little hairy having to face the Bengals next, but there are some favorable matchups for Dell after that.

Quarterbacks

Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray returns yet again to my Waiver Hub for another week. If he is still available in your league, he is a solid QB to grab and stash if needed or start him. Murray is expected to play in week 10 when the Cardinals face the Atlanta Falcons in Arizona. A middle of the pack defense playing against a home team with a mobile QB. Sounds like a good position to be in. Big bump up for Marquise Brown and Trey McBride. Last chance most likely to add Kyler.

Baker Mayfield – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker has been playing well lately even though the scoreboard has them on the losing side all but twice this season. In his last 2 games played he has combined for over 500 passing yards, and he has 2 passing TDs in each of those games. Not to mention he has no INTS. Obviously not the sexy QB play you want, but he’s a more leaned on if you need QB help due to injury or BYE week.

Running Backs

Jaylen Warren – Pittsburgh Steelers

Warren is becoming more heavily owned so he might not be available in your league. If he is I would say, go for it. Warren is coming off his best rushing game of the season rushing for 88 yards on 11 carries and contributing to the pass game like he has all season. Warren is 2nd on the team in targets and receptions, and he is 3rd on the team in receiving yards. Not too shabby being RB2. Diontae Johnson definitely dampens his pass catching appeal, but he is worth adding and playing if needed against a bad Green Bay rush defense.

Tyler Allgeier – Atlanta Falcons

I didn’t think I would be writing about Allgeier at this point in the season, but it has to be done given the unforeseen future of Bijan Robinson. Projected one of the best RB in the preseason to having a game with no fantasy points back in week 7. Allgeier has not gone away, carrying the ball 12+ times in 6 of 9 games. Both RBs have gotten volume and its clear that Bijan should be the guy. Well, is isn’t as definitive as that at this point leaving him a must add, especially if you are a Bijan owner. Allgeier leads the team in rushing attempts this season.

Wide Receivers

Tank Dell – Houston Texans

Quintin Johnston – LA Chargers

You may have picked Johnston up or have had him stashed. Well, Mike Williams gone for the season was the first blow, now Josh Palmer is consistently inconsistent with playing and has landed on the IR. The stats haven’t been there yet, but I’d there is a time to emerge for your team its now. Johnston is WR2 for LA right now with a gunslinger like Justin Herbert.

Demario Douglas – New England Patriots

Kendrick Bourne is another player that has recently landed on IR, who was basically the only pass catcher worth owning on the Patriots offense. Well, the Patriots have to throw it to someone right? Enter Douglas. This 6th round rookie has stepped it up a little getting 6+ targets in his last 3 games and gaining a combined 134 receiving yards. Demario and the Patriots travel to Germany to play next Sunday morning against the Colts. Not a bad matchup for Douglas, just need Mac Jones to play well.

Tight Ends

Taysom Hill – New Orleans Saints

Taysom Hill seems to always get very popular at random times in the fantasy seasons in the past. Well, he is relevant again throwing and catching TDs. He is a triple threat to score and the Saints like him enough to continue giving him Red Zone touches. Everyone might know Hill will get the ball when he is in, but they have to figure out how he will be utilized. Hill has 5 total TDs accounted for his last 3 games which is impressive given the Saints have had a lot of trouble getting the ball in the endzone this year.

Jake Ferguson – Dallas Cowboys

Ferguson is back on my list another week. He went off for his best game of the season against the Eagles catching 7 of 10 targets for 91 yards and a TD. That was a follow up to the week prior where he caught all 4 of his targets for 47 yards and a TD. Jake is the 2nd most productive pass catcher on Dallas after CeeDee Lamb. Ferguson is 2nd in targets, receptions, and receiving yards on the season for the Cowboys. He is tied with Lamb for most receiving TDs.
