Trade Hub – Week 10

Good morning and happy Monday to all fantasy aficionados. The fantasy season goes on as we approach the end of week 9. Hopefully your weekend went well, and tonight is just a formality on your W. If not, we get ready for the next week and trudge on. Welcome back to my weekly trade HUB article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football.

Tonight is a matchup between the 3-4 Chargers and the 4-3 Jets. Both teams looking to get to or out of the .500 area. Will be fun to see Austin Ekeler and Breece Hall each fight for their teams. The line is in favor of the Chargers by 3.5 with an over/under of 40.5. I think the Jets have a shot at this game as long as Breece Hall is involved on the ground and through the air which will hopefully free up Garrett Wilson so he can carve up the secondary. My prediction is a Jets victory 17-16. Next week we get the Broncos and Bills for MNF.

It is week 10 so make sure you’re aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 10 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

Rashee Rice – Kansas City Chiefs

Rashee Rice scored his 4th TD on the season in week 9 in a Chiefs victory over the Dolphins. Patrick Mahomes has been spreading the ball around to almost every pass catcher leaving you wondering who is next. Rice caught both of his 2 targets for 17 yards and a score. 2 targets, 2 receptions, 17 yards, all season low or tied for season low for him. Rice is dynamic and has Mahomes attention clearly as he is 2nd in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and is tied in receiving TDs with Travis Kelce. Buy Rice low and watch him succeed in the Chiefs remaining schedule.

Davante Adams – Las Vegas Raiders

Davante Adams has not been playing like the WR we expect week in and week out. These are Adams averages over his last 5 games: 7 targets, 3.6 receptions, and 35.2 yards. Those are subpar numbers, and he hasn’t scored since week 3. The Raiders need to figure some stuff out because they need to utilize their best receiver better than they have lately. Sketchy QB play has a lot to do with it. This is a great time to buy low on Davante as long as you think he will get through this funk.

Zay Flowers – Baltimore Ravens

Zay is coming off his worst game of the season in week 9. Flowers caught just one pass on his only target for 11 yards. Keep in mind the Ravens dominated this week and they did it mostly on the ground. Buy Flowers now low after a weak statistical performance. He is on an offense that is clicking right now with many weapons. The rookie has had double digit targets in 3 games this season and is averaging over 50 yards each game, so we know the capabilities. In week 9 Zay was targeted less than 5 other Ravens, 3 WRs and 2 TEs. Buy low if possible.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Keaton Mitchell – Baltimore Ravens

Keaton Mitchell had himself some solid numbers following his week 9 performance that could be deemed breakout worthy. Mitchell rushed 9 times for 138 yards and a TD. He had 2 huge plays that certainly helped his numbers, and they blew out the Seahawks which helped as well. Mitchell will be on everyone’s radar even with the Gus bus scoring multiple times in consecutive games. Mitchell might be 3rd on the depth chart but you can’t tell when they all contribute like they did in week 9. Sell Mitchell sky high knowing he is on an offense that yes, they run a ton, but 3 players are ahead of him including Lamar for carries.

Tank Dell – Houston Texans

Dell was one of the many Texans that benefited from Stroud’s epic week 9 performance. 3 pass catchers broke the century mark, and 4 pass catchers scored a TD. Dell tied Schultz for 11 targets in the game and converted 6 of them into receptions for 114 yards and 2 TDs. You could argue Dell, Schultz, and even Noah Brown are all worth attention after week 9. Sell Dell high knowing he tied for 3rd on the team in targets this season with a rookie QB on a 4-4 team.

CJ Stroud – Houston Texans

CJ Stroud popped off in week 9 setting rookie records and getting his 4th W of the season against a gritty Bucs team. Stroud threw for 470 yards and 5 TDs!!! That is going to be extremely hard to top moving forward. Sell Stroud sky high after a record shattering career high performance. Stroud is top 10 in fantasy points this season for QBs so hold tight if you expect that to continue, but if youre looking for value this might be the perfect opportunity.
