Trade Hub – Week 11

Welcome back! It’s Monday which means it is time for my weekly Trade HUB article. Mike Hubbard Jr here, ready to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning short term and long term. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) and Instagram (@fantasyhubbard) for all things fantasy football. Feel free to tweet me or message me on either social media with any comments or questions you might have regarding fantasy football.

Week 10 is ending tonight after a MNF matchup between the LA Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams are favored by 3.5 points with an over/under of 50.5. If I was betting, I would put my money on the Rams even though Robert Woods is out for the season. The Rams have won 4 of their last 5 while the 49ers have lost 5 of their last 6. Each team is trending in opposite directions. I think Darrell Henderson will have a great game for LA while Jimmy Garoppolo struggles for the 49ers. My bold prediction is Henderson topping 100 total yards and a TD. Rams win 34-16.

Make sure you are aware of your leagues trade deadline and plan/act accordingly. It’s time to get strategic and use your persuasion and negotiation skills out in the fantasy football trade market. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 11 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

DK Metcalf – Seattle Seahawks

DK Metcalf and the Seahawks put up a goose egg on the scoreboard yesterday against the Packers. DK had 3 receptions for 26 yards on 8 targets in Russell Wilsons first game back since his finger injury. DK was visibly frustrated during this game which led to his ejection in the 4th quarter. It was shocking to see Wilson not able to score and not have good chemistry with his receivers. Wilson is going to get back into his old ways which includes getting DK targets. Seattle is in a hole right now but know that there is still a shot at the playoffs. I can see a big Metcalf game coming in week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals.

AJ Brown – Tennessee Titans

The Titans beat the Saints Sunday despite not having Julio Jones or Derrick Henry. AJ Brown had just the 1 reception for 16 yards on 4 targets. Brown had to deal with Marshon Lattimore’s coverage which is not ideal for any pass catcher. The Titans get the Texans next week where Brown should feast while Julio Jones remains on IR. If you can get Brown on your team before your team’s trade deadline, you’ll be sitting pretty moving forward.

TJ Hockenson – Detroit Lions

Not only did the Lions go into Pittsburgh and not lose, but they did it without TJ Hockenson recording a catch. TJ was targeted 1 time but that’s the extent of his stat line in week 10. Hockenson owners are probably frustrated having 2 consecutive weeks without any fantasy points after having 31 targets the 3 previous weeks. TJ is in a pretty bad offense but has shown his potential. He is worth buying low.

Mike Gesicki – Miami Dolphins

Like TJ Hockenson, Mike Gesicki didn’t lose in week 10 but also didn’t record a catch. On the bright side, he was the most targeted player for Miami this week with 7. I would try to ignore this week and instead anticipate some future success. Jaylen Waddle is the only Dolphin with more targets than Gesicki this season. Miami gets New York football teams in 3 of their next 4 games. The Dolphins should be competitive in those games with Gesicki heavily involved. Gesicki is another TE worth buying low.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Antonio Gibson – Washington Football Team

Antonio Gibson saved his best game of the season for week 10 against the Buccaneers just like everyone expected. He had a season high 24 carries which led to 64 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs. He also contributed 2 receptions for 14 receiving yards on 2 targets. Gibson could definitely continue this kind of success moving forward but I would rather sell him high now and see what I could get for him, especially with the success McKissic has had for the WFT this season.

Diontae Johnson – Pittsburgh Steelers

Diontae Johnson was targeted 13 times by Mason Rudolph on Sunday in a tie to the Lions. He finished the game with 7 receptions for 83 yards but did have a costly fumble lost late in the game. This is a great time to sell Johnson as high as possible with a sales pitch involving his volume, success, and health. Diontae has been very good but his remaining schedule is not ideal. Sell him high as possible.

Courtland Sutton – Denver Broncos

Courtland Sutton started the season on a high note but has really disappointed fantasy owners lately. He had 2 receptions for 29 yards on 3 targets in week 10 in a loss to the Eagles. His last 3 games he has only a total of 5 receptions for 78 yards on 9 targets. In games that Jerry Jeudy has played in with Courtland, Sutton has had minimal success. Teddy Bridgewater has prioritized a few other pass catching options and it has been apparent. I don’t think you’ll be able to sell him high, but I would still pursue trading him for someone with a more optimistic remainder of the fantasy season.

Odell Beckham Jr – Los Angeles Rams

OBJ is in an interesting position. He left the Browns where he was not having success and finds himself now on the LA Rams who have been winning. The Rams have Matthew Stafford who loves to air it out and spread the ball around to multiple pass catchers. Robert Woods tore his ACL just days ago opening up more volume for Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, Tyler Higbee, and now OBJ. OBJ is most likely going to be WR3 for the Rams. I’m only suggesting trading him now before he makes his debut in the event you think he will be a bust like he has been. If you think he will breakout, he could easily be in the buy low section. Toss out some bait and see what is available, but don’t settle.
