Tipsy Picks NFL Week 14

By Jonny Danger

Extreme Values. Miracle dependent plays. One-off shots off the beaten path!

You’ll need a few beers or a stiff pour of bourbon to stomach these picks…

I am going to concentrate on just a guy or two for each position.

Tipsy QBs
Drew Lock @ CAR (1.9%)
Like the Spanish Inquisition no one expects a Drew Lock banger of a game. Here’s the deal, I think Denver can come in here with the upset. They are more healthy then they have been in a while and Carolina is quite the opposite. They will be missing CMC, DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel and 11 Defensive players to Injury or Covid protocols. Despite all of that the Panthers are 3 point favorites. Don’t sleep on this team as Gordan has a smash matchup and Tim Patrick has put up double digit fantasy points in all but 3 games played this year. Start your HUGE GPP build with Lock/Gordon/Patrick, run it back with Robby Anderson and his 15 targets, and look at the magic you can put around them.

Under Owned Favorites:
Give me all the KYLER MURRAY again. He’s projected at under 2% owned with only David Jones, Nick Mullens, Alex Smith and Branden Allen projected at less ownership.

ANDY DALTON REVENGE GAME!!! Get you a piece!

Tipsy RBs
I’m just going to toot my own horn from this article and waivers for the last 2 weeks telling you to take up Cam Mother F’n Akers! WOOT!

Not a ton of deep values that will go underlooked this week, so let’s look at a few guys I like regardless of their price.

Melvin Gordon $5,200 @ CAR (3.8%)
I already stated above reasons for liking the Broncos. If it’s going down like that I can’t see it without a big game from Gordon running between the tackles and catching some dump offs in the backfield. His price is heavily enticing for those of you looking to pay up for guys like Henry or Devante Adams.

Dalvin Cook $9,400 @ TB (5.0%)
I am aware this doesn’t fit my normal narrative but at only 5% projected ownership… even at that price… you could get a piece of an absolute scoring machine at the seasons least ownership. TB is great against the run, that price is crazy! That’s why it’s tipsy my friends.

Other Cost Saving Options:
*JD McKissic – Probably leads the team in pass targets this week, but highly owned
*Kerryon Johnson – If Swift gets ruled out last minute look for Kerryon to pay off his near bottom price.

Tipsy WRs
Michael Gallup $3,800 vs CIN (3.1%)
His ownership has crept up since I put him down earlier this week but I am sticking with him. In fact he and Lamb! ($4,800) I am completely in on the Dalton revenge game. As bad as this Defense is the Offense is completely LOADED on talent and the bad D only gives them more opportunities to score.

Jalen Guyton $3,200 vs ATL (0.1%)
Ok here is your true TIPSY PICK. Just want to let you know, the last 2 times I recommended him he put up a 14 and a 16 point game.

He led last week’s snap count for all Chargers pass catchers, he is consistently on the field, he garnered 7 targets last week, he’s facing the team giving up the most yards per play in the league in the Falcons, a whopping 6.2 yards per play. All this lines up for a signature Guyton game of 3 catches, 72 yards, and a TD! Book it!

Other Cost Saving Options:
*Tyler Boyd- Got ejected from the last game and will look for a big bounce back game
*Mike Williams – always under priced, always under owned
*Tim Patrick – see Drew Lock above

Salary Saving TEs
Drew Sample- $3,000 Take him against Dal. Allen dumps it off regularly.
Tyler Eiffert- $3,100 Good for 5-6 targets a game in a good matchup

Defense
If you can afford it throw New Orleans into, like, every lineup.

Otherwise:
DEN  $2500
SF $2700
