Start/Sit Hub Week 14

Happy week 14 of the 2025 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit Hub! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out.

I am here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.

TNF START/SIT

Cowboys @ Lions

Start – George Pickens – Thus start spot could go to both George Pickens and/or CeeDee Lamb. Detroit is not having a good year defending any WRs in fantasy and Pickens has been elite. George has 8 TDs and has at least 78 receiving yards in each of his last 7 games. CeeDee has also played well so the defense is going to have their hands full if Dak has time to throw.

Sit – Either D/ST – This game has an over/under point total of 54.5. That is a lot of potential points to be scored with the 2 offenses in the top 3 in scoring. Dallas should be able to throw, and Detroit should be able to run and throw. Neither defense sounds like a promising idea.

TNF has concluded with a 44-30 win for the Lions over the Cowboys. Next week the TNF matchup is between the Falcons and the Buccaneers.

Some of the games I am looking forward to most in week 14 are the Steelers/Ravens, the Bengals/Bills, the Texans/Chiefs, and the Eagles/Chargers. Enjoy your football weekend and good luck!

WEEK 14 BYES – PANTHERS, PATRIOTS, GIANTS, 49ERS

START OF THE WEEK

Start – Bucky Irving – Welcome back Bucky Irving. The talented RB returned last weekend and contributed 81 total yards and a rushing TD. I expect even more production from him this week as long as he stays healthy. Bucky is a huge part of this offense.

Dolphins @ Jets

Start – Breece Hall – Breece Hall has a great matchup this week against Miami. Last time they played Hall ran for 81 yards and contributed 30 receiving yards as well. Dolphins struggle to defend RBs, and the Jets rely heavily on Breece giving him many opportunities.

Sit – Jaylen Waddle – Going with Waddle here based off matchup and recent history. The Jets are a top 5 defense when it comes to defending WRs in fantasy, Waddle did get 48 receiving yards in their earlier matchup this season, but it was just 3 receptions and no scores.

Steelers @ Ravens

Start – Mark Andrews – Andrews got paid since his last game and that should be incentive enough to go play well. Also helps that the Steelers are rivals and he has experience taking them on. Hopes are up that Lamar Jackson is going to play which bodes well for Andrews. Mark had 6 targets, 4 receptions, and 47 yards which are all highs since week 6. Let’s get the momentum going.

Sit – Aaron Rodgers – Rodgers has been bad, no sugarcoating it. Baltimore is not an easy defense but also not a difficult defense. Does not mater too much when Rodgers is playing this poorly. He has 3 passing TDs in his last 4 games and under 200 passing yards in each of his last 3. Also does not help his cause that the Steelers are a run heavy team.

Saints @ Buccaneers

Start – Bucky Irving – SEE START OF THE WEEK TOP OF PAGE

Sit – Cade Otton – Otton has struggled in his 3 most recent games. Those 3 games have a combined 8 receptions for 58 yards. With Bucky Irving back, Chris Godwin back, and now talks of Mike Evans potentially coming back sooner than expected, Otton seems like less of a big contributor.

Colts @ Jaguars

Start – Tyler Warren – Warren may have only had 3 receptions for 22 yards, but he did find the end zone for the first time since week 7. Jacksonville is the 2nd worst defense against opposing TEs, so Warren is in a favorable spot.

Sit – Travis Etienne – Choosing Etienne just a week after he was in my start spot for the Jags. Turns out Etienne had 12 carries which is tied for his second least this season and his 28 rushing yards were also second lowest of his season. Colts have a decent rushing defense and Tuten keeps creeping into Travis’s workload.

Titans @ Browns

Start – Quinshon Judkins – Judkins continues to be a workhorse for the Browns offense. He had 23 carries last game which was his 5th game with 20+ carries. He is at home and should have a lot of chances to break the Titans defense.

Sit – Tony Pollard – Pollard is coming off a 60-yard rushing game which is his most since week 5, which is also when he last scored a TD. Browns defense is not the best or worst, but the recently kept both Christian McCaffrey and Ashton Jeanty each under 60 rushing yards.

Commanders @ Vikings

Start – Zach Ertz – I like Ertz to continue to play well like last game. He was targeted 13 times and caught 10 of them for 106 yards with Marcus Mariotta at QB. This week it is unclear who will be QB, but it is Mariotta or Daniels. Good news is that Ertz has played well and has been a reliable target for both QBs.

Sit – Jacory Croskey-Merritt – Bill had 4 carries last game which tied his season low. He finished with 20 rushing yards and no targets in the pass game. The Commanders have been using Chris Rodriguez more heavily and even Jeremy McNichols has more carries last game. Bill is too much a risk.

Seahawks @ Falcons

Start – Zach Charbonnet – Zach has a good matchup with the Falcons who have better success defending TEs and WRs rather than RBs. Kenneth Walker is currently questionable so keep an eye on that, but regardless Zach has scored in 3 of his last 4 games and 8 on the season.

Sit – Cooper Kupp – Cooper has not hit 25 receiving yards in each of his last 3 games and has been held under 35 yards in 7 different games this season. He is in JSN’s shadow and cannot seem to get any traction going

Bengals @ Bills

Start – Chase Brown – Chase continues to stay hot totaling 100+ total yards in each of his last 6 games and now gets Buffalo who is bottom 5 in defending the run this season. Bengals are better with Burrow and Brown should benefit from that and extend his hot streak.

Sit – Keon Coleman – This is a tricky pick because of Coleman’s tendency to have low receptions but is TD dependent. He scored in his last 2 games played where he only had 5 total receptions. Keon has 3 or less receptions in all but 2 games this season and he has not reached 50+ yards since week 1.

Broncos @ Raiders

Start – RJ Harvey – Harvey should get another hefty workload with JK Dobbins on IR. He scored 2 TDs in his first RB1 game and now takes on Vegas who he already played once and but obviously it was a different circumstance due to injuries. We should see double digit carries for RJ this weekend and hopefully a few receptions as well.

Sit – Tre Tucker – Tucker has a bad matchup with the Broncos tough pass defense. They played weeks ago, and he finished with 35 total yards. Despite 13 targets combined in his last 2 games he only has 6 receptions and 48 yards.

Bears @ Packers

Start – Jordan Love – Love is coming off one of his best games of the season throwing 4 TD passes and not turning the ball over. Chicagos defense does not scare anyone so Love should feel comfortable tossing the rock to the likes of Watson, Doubs, and Wicks.

Sit – Caleb Williams – Caleb has a tough matchup with Green Bay’s defense led by Micah Parsons. Williams has a brutal fantasy schedule remaining and is coming off a game where he threw for a season low 154 yards. Caleb will need to run a bit in this game to get fantasy points along with success from ODUNZE and other pass catchers.

Rams @ Cardinals

Start – Jacoby Brissett – Jacoby will continue to start for Arizona for the remainder of the season. Brissett has thrown 250+ passing yards in each of his starts this season and has multiple TD passes in 6 of his 7 games played.

Sit – Colby Parkinson – Was difficult to find someone to sit here when there is so much star power and potential for both teams. I chose Parkinson just because he is lower on the totem pole and seems TD dependent.

Texan @ Chiefs

Start – Dalton Schultz – Schultz has been a reliable target for CJ Stroud and the Texans. They will need that in this game along with Nico Collins. Dalton may only have the 1 TD this season, but he has 8+ targets in 5 of his last 7 games so we know he is getting the looks.

Sit – Xavier Worthy – Worthy has not been bad by any means, but he has just been average compared to games in his past. Worthy has just the 1 TD this season. Texan defense is also very legit even playing in an atmosphere like KC.

Eagles @ Chargers (MNF)

Start – AJ Brown – AJ has had a roller coaster season with high peaks and low valleys. Chargers defense is not to be taken lightly; however, AJ is known as AO (always open) for a reason. The stud WR has 33 targets in his last 3 games and has 3 TDs in his last 2 games.

Sit – Oronde Gadsden – Gadsden emerged mid season and has fallen off since. He has just 6 receptions in his last 3 games and no scores since week 8. Philadelphia has been the best defense against opposing TEs this season.
