Start/Sit Hub Week 12

Happy week 12 of the 2025 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit Hub! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out.

TNF has arrived and we get the Bills travelling to Houston to take on the Texans. 2 solid defenses. The Bills are favored by 6 with a point total over/under of 43.5. My prediction is a 24-16 win for the Bills.

I am here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.

TNF START/SIT

Start – James Cook – Going with James Cook here as he should be used a ton in this game. Houston has a tough defense so Josh Allen can use Cook as a rusher and as a pass catcher. He had 66 receiving yards in his last game and on the season he has 5 separate games where he ran for triple digit rushing yards.

Sit – Nick Chubb – Nick Chubb is coming off one of his worst games of the season when he had just 3 carries for 17 yards. His best game this year in rushing came in week 5 when he hit 61 rushing yards. Bills defense is friendly to opposing RBs, but Chubb has faded into the background a little too much in this offense that likes to feed Woody Marks. Chubb has not scored since week 5 and has just 1 reception in his last 3 games combined.

TNF ended with an upset win for the Texans over the Bills by a score of 23-19. Next Thursday is Thanksgiving so we will have a trio of games including Packers/Lions, Chiefs/Cowboys, and Bengals/Ravens.

BYE WEEK – BRONCOS, CHARGERS, DOLPHINS, COMMANDERS

Some of the games I am looking forward to most in week 12 are the Eagles/Cowboys, the Colts/Chiefs, and the Bucs/Rams. Enjoy your football weekend and good luck!

START OF THE WEEK

Start – Trey McBride – Trey has been a monster this season and gets a Jaguars defense that is bottom 3 in defending TEs this season. He has 6 TDs in his last 5 games and 7 games with 9+ targets this season. Trey is my top TE this week.

Steelers @ Bears

Start – Rome Odunze – Odunze should be able to take on the Pittsburgh secondary without much concern. Rome has had 5+ targets in every game with the exception of 1 this season. Odunze is WR20 for me this week.

Sit – Pat Freiermuth – It is unclear if Rodgers is playing this weekend, but regardless of who is behind center I believe Freiermuth is too much of a risk to start with any confidence. He is TD dependent with only 1 TD since week 8.

Patriots @ Bengals

Start – Tee Higgins – Joe Burrow might be back for this game, but regardless of QB here, Higgins is in a great spot to produce. No Ja’Marr Chase in this game and Tee has been lighting it up lately. 6 TDs in his last 6 games including 5 in his last 4 games. Patriots’ defense is no slouch, but hopefully being at home will help and knowing the Patriots are better at stopping the run then the pass.

Sit – Bengals DEF – This should be self-explanatory, but the Bengals defense is laughable, and Drake Maye has been incredible for the Patriots.

Giants @ Lions

Start – Jahmyr Gibbs – The Lions struggled immensely when they took on Philly, well everyone except for Gibbs. Gibbs should be able to carve up the Giants defense on the ground and through the air. He is coming off his best receiving game when he got 107 receiving yards.

Sit – Tyrone Tracy Jr – The Giants will most likely be struggling to run the ball on the Lions in Detroit and that goes for both Tracy and Singletary.

Vikings @ Packers

Start – Emanuel Wilson – Keep an eye on Josh Jacobs status prior to this game, but if he is limited or out then this would be a great game for Wilson who just scored his first TD of the season in week 11.

Sit – Matthew Golden – Another players status to keep an eye on. He is questionable but still in my sit spot since he just hasn’t made any jumps this season. He has under 40 yards in every game since week 7 and still has not scored his first NFL TD.

Seahawks @ Titans

Start – Zach Charbonnet – Kenneth Walker is questionable which could mean Charbonnet getting the majority if RB touches. Zach has 6 rushing TDs this season and has been active in the pass catching game as well.

Sit – Cam Ward – Ward is coming off a 33 rushing yards performance where he threw a TD and did not throw any INTs. Unfortunately, I think the Seahawks defense will handle the rookie rather easily as he has a long way to go to make fantasy football rosters.

Colts @ Chiefs

Start – Travis Kelce – Kelce has emerged lately as he has in the past as a leader on the Chiefs. We know about his chemistry with Mahomes, and it has been on full display. 2 of his last 3 games Kelce had over 90 yards and a receiving TD. The Colts TE defense could struggle, especially in KC.

Sit – Daniel Jones – Jones is just outside my top 10 QBs this week but still lands on my sit spot. KC should be ready to take on Jones who is a threat to run and a threat to pass this season. Jones has looked elite up until his last couple of games where he has thrown 4 INTs when he only had 3 up through week 8.

Jets @ Ravens

Start – Derrick Henry – The Ravens have won 4 consecutive games and that is largely in part due to Henry rushing well. He has over 100 rushing yards in 3 of his last 5 games and has 7 rushing TDs all season. The Jets defense is one of the lighter rush defenses he has seen this season leading me to believe he will run all over them.

Sit – Isaiah Likely – Likely has not scored since he returned in week 5 this season and only has 1 game with over 20 rushing yards. Mark Andrews has been the TE this season and Likely has been an afterthought.

Browns @ Raiders

Start – Quinshon Judkins – Judkins has been a workhorse for the Browns this season and that should continue this weekend. With Sanders getting his first ever NFL start I can imagine the Browns wanted to hand the ball off often to establish a steady gameplan and put Sanders in a spot to succeed.

Sit – Geno Smith – I don’t recommend starting any Raiders who are not Bowers or Jeanty. Geno is set up for a bad week like he was in week 2 and week 10. Top 5 defenses have resulted in Geno throwing 4 INTs and no passing TDs. That could continue Sunday.

Jaguars @ Cardinals

Start – Trey McBride – SEE START OF THE WEEK TOP OF PAGE

Sit – Bam Knight – Bam has been doing his best to fill in for injuries this season on Arizona but has not been dominant. Good news is he has a reception in each game he has played in; bad news is he is averaging around 30 rushing yards per game. He has 1 TD since week 6.

Eagles @ Cowboys

Start – Jalen Hurts – Hurts has been on a lot of people minds lately and its never good talk. This is a great chance to silence his critics with yet another win. Whether it is him airing it out to Smith or Brown or Goedert, or tucking and running himself, he gets the job done and racks up fantasy points while doing it. In week 1 when they first met, Hurts had 62 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs which was his best game of the season on the ground.

Sit – Jake Ferguson – Fergie only had 16 receiving yards in his last game but did find the endzone. Jake has just 66 receiving yards combined in his last 3 games. In their first meeting this season the Eagles held Ferguson to 23 receiving yards.

Buccaneers @ Rams

Start – Kyren Williams – Williams has scored 4 TDs in his last 3 games and gets a Bucs defense that struggles defending the run. Kyren has been extremely consistent having at least 50 rushing yards in every single game this season.

Sit – Rachaad White – Difficult decision here but going with White because the Rams have a great D line and have been shutting most RBs down this season. Another reason is because the emergence of Sean Tucker who has been creeping into Whites playing time and is coming off a huge game where he had 3 combined TDs and 140 total yards.

Panthers @ 49ers (MNF)

Start – George Kittle – MNF with Purdy makes me think Kittle is getting into the endzone. He has 4 TDs in his last 4 games regardless of who is throwing to him. Purdy and Kittle have only played 2 games together fully this season and in those 2 goes Kittle has 3 TDs and has caught 100% of his targets.

Sit – Ricky Pearsall – Ricky has been so injury prone this season that I tread lightly with him even if he is active. Kittle, CMC, and Jennings seem to be a higher priority for SF in the pass catching game right now.
