Start/Sit Hub Week 6

Happy week 6 of the 2025 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit Hub! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out.

The TNF matchup this week is between the 4-1 Eagles and the home team 1-4 New York Giants. The Eagles are favored by 7.5 with a point total over/under of 40.5. Can the birds bounce back from their only defeat through 5 weeks? Or will the Giants surprise at home? My prediction is a 24-17 win for Philly.

I am here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.

TNF START/SIT

Start – Jalen Hurts – The Eagles are looking to get their rhythm back to where it was last season when they won the Super Bowl. Whether they soar through the air or on the ground, it is all done through Hurts. The Giants struggle defending WRs so I think Smith and Brown could have big games. Hurts has weapons to target and legs to run. Hurts hates to lose so a big bounce back game is expected here.

Sit – Wan’Dale Robinson – Robinson should have a bigger role this week without Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton, right? Well, he is a likely target as is Theo Johnson, however the Eagles secondary is looking sharp. Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell are a couple of 2nd year studs. Since Dart has started at QB, Wan’Dale has been targeted 12 times, has 8 receptions, and 44 receiving yards. Robinson might get the volume, let us see how effective he can be.

TNF is over and we advance onto the weekend! Eagles were favored by more than a TD last night, yet they got rocked 34-17. Eagles lose back-to-back games and have more questions than answers at this point. The Giants looked great with the rookie combo of Dart and Skattebo. Eagles take on the Vikings next while the Giants have the Broncos upcoming. Next TNF game is between the Steelers and Bengals. .

BYE WEEK – Texans, Vikings

Remember that the Broncos/Jets game is being played in London so it will be in the morning for most in the States.

Some of the games I am looking forward to most in week 6 are the Browns/Steelers, 49ers/Buccaneers, and the Lions/Chiefs. Enjoy your football weekend and good luck!

START OF THE WEEK

Start – Jaxon Smith-Njigba – JSN is averaging almost 107 receiving yards per game this season which is 2nd only to Puka Nacua who is having a ridiculous season as well. What I find mind blowing is that JSN has 19 less targets and 18 less receptions than Nacua yet he is only 54 receiving yards away from being tied to Puka.

Broncos @ Jets (London)

Start – JK Dobbins – Dobbins just keeps playing well. His consistency and ability to avoid injury this season has shown he can be great. He has double digit carries in all 5 games this season and scored a rushing TD in 4 of them. He has 63+ rushing yards in each game and at least 1 reception. The Jets run defense has been below average this season. I think Dobbins scores over the pond Sunday.

Sit – Jets D/ST – A little obvious here but the stats speak for themselves. Jets have yet to win a game, Denver’s coming off a win in Philadelphia, and Jets averaging over 31 points allowed per game.

Browns @ Steelers

Start – Quinshon Judkins – Judkins keeps impressing. He has 20+ carries in each of his last 2 games, 82+ rushing yards in his last 3 games, and 10+ receiving yards in 3 of his last 4. He has scored 2 TDs this season and has the Steelers defense next who has not been good at defending the run.

Sit – Aaron Rodgers – Rodgers might have his toughest test in the season so far facing a Browns defense that has been particularly good. Since week 1, Rodgers has 4 passing TDs and 3 INTs, and we know he is not a threat to rush.

Chargers @ Dolphins

Start – Hassan Haskins – We have another RB decision this week and it is between Haskins and Vidal for the Chargers since Hampton went on the IR. Either RB could be great here or they could both be decent or both bad. Haskins was a Michigan RB, so he has played under Jim Harbaugh in the past. I chose wrong with Demarcado for the Cardinals last week so be weary and tread lightly.

Sit – Ollie Gordon – Ollie is not being used enough to be a starter in fantasy at this point in the season. Without his week 3 TD he is borderline irrelevant.

Patriots @ Saints

Start – Drake Maye –Drake just beat the Bills in Buffalo and now travels to New Orleans. Should be an easier defense to play against and he has momentum. Maybe has the threat of rushing and has 7 passing TDs this season compared to his 2 INTs.

Sit – Juwan Johnson – Johnson was hot to start the season and has continued to cool off. He has 7 targets combined in his last 2 games when he had 8+ in each of his first 3 games. 5 receptions for 45 yards over the last 2 games is not going to cut it. He has just the 1TD this season but that came back in week 2.

Rams @ Ravens

Start – Matthew Stafford – Stafford is red hot right now playing some of the best football he has played. He has back-to-back 3 passing TD games and a total of 764 passing yards in them. Ravens defense continues to be almost nonexistent.

Sit – Mark Andrews – Andrews had quiet back-to-back weeks after a booming week 3 performance. Mark had just 3 targets last game and caught 2 of them for 22 yards. The loss of Lamar Jackson certainly did not help him and Jackson might not play this week as well.

Cardinals @ Colts

Start – Michael Pittman Jr – Pittman continues to be impressive this season with Daniel Jones throwing to him. Michael has scored a receiving TD in 4 of his 5 games including 3 consecutive games looking for his 4th in a row this Sunday. Pittman has averaged 7 targets per game and should be in for 7 more.

Sit – Michael Carter – Even though Carter appears to be RB1 based off last weekends usage, he is about to play in Indianapolis who has been great defending RBs this season. The Colt’s defense has only allowed 1 RB TD in their last 3 games.

Seahawks @ Jaguars

Start – Jaxon Smith-Njigba – SEE START OF THE WEEK TOP OF PAGE

Sit – Travis Hunter – Hunter is showing spurts of greatness with his catches and yards after the carry, but he has just 10 targets combined in his last 3 games and this season he averages just 36 yards per game. Seahawks defense is not to be taken lightly as well. Hunter also has yet to score his 1st NFL TD.

Cowboys @ Panthers

Start – Rico Dowdle – Dowdle played in place of Chuba Hubbard last game and absolutely went off. This week it looks as if Chuba might be out again. If that is the case, we get Dowdle coming off the game of his career and gets to play the Cowboys who are his former team and have a defense no one fears.

Sit – Bryce Young – Bryce Young is playing a defense that is giving up a ton of points to opposing QBs, but Young still is in my sit spot. Bryce has just 1 game with more than 200 passing yards and only 1 game with double digit rushing yards. Bryce Young is outside my top 20 QBs this week.

Titans @ Raiders

Start – Ashton Jeanty – Jeanty gets a Raiders defense this week who has struggled defending RBs. When Ashton played a subpar defense this season (week 4 vs Chicago), he blew up for 138 rushing yards and 3 total TDs. Could be another big game this weekend for the rookie.

Sit – Cam Ward – it appears that Cam Ward is starting to get a better feel for being QB1 on an NFL team but still has a long way to go. He had 256 passing yards last game which is great, but he did not score any TDs in any way and turned the ball over. Cam has 3 INTs in his last 3 games and has just 2 passing TDs this season.

49ers @ Buccaneers

Start – Baker Mayfield – Baker has 2 TD passes in 4 of his 5 games this season and 10 in total. He also has rushed for 13+ yards in every game including 3 games with 33+ rushing yards. The emergence of rookie Egbuka has helped tremendously. Baker is averaging 334 yards passing per game over his last 2 games.

Sit – Brian Robinson – It is difficult to find a sit spot in this game because most of the 49er’s offense is injured And I like the Bucs offense. Robinson should stay on your bench if CMC is healthy as he is simply a handcuff.

Bengals @ Packers

Start – Jordan Love – Love is in a great spot at home against a team that cannot stop anybody. The Bengals have allowed 28+ points in every game since week 1 concluded. Love is fresh from a BYE and had 337 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in his last game. Packers should be able to score in this one.

Sit – Joe Flacco – Flacco is an improvement over Jake Browning, but not a good enough replacement for a starting fantasy QB. Flacco has weapons everywhere now, but his O line is bad, and he has never played with this team. I expect a lot of dump offs to Chase Brown in this one.

Lions @ Chiefs

Start – Patrick Mahomes – Patty under the lights on prime-time TV at home against a tough Detroit team. Sign me up. Mahomes has been running very well this season with 3 rushing TDs. He also has 8 passing TDs including a 4 TD game in his last home game. Xavier Worthy might be out again, but Mahomes has enough around him to put up solid fantasy numbers.

Sit – Isiah Pacheco – Glad he was finally able to score in week 4 but still has not had any substantial impact games this season. Kareem Hunt has stolen a lot of playing time from Pacheco and has cultured TDs as well. Chiefs are going to be pass heavy in this game so that makes Isiah even less appealing.

Bills @ Falcons (MNF)

Start – Josh Allen – We love Josh Allen in prime-time. The Falcons are the home team and have had success on defense this season, but Allen is a cheat code and never gives up. He has 2 passing TDs in 4 of his 5 games and is averaging 42 rushing yards per game this season to go with his 3 rushing TDs.

Sit – Kyle Pitts – Pitts had his best game of the season prior to his BYE week when he scored a TD and had 70 receiving yards. Problem is he is playing the Bills defense that allows the lowest fantasy points to opposing TEs. That is my main reason here as he is not in my top 10 TEs this week.

Bears @ Commanders (MNF)

Start – Jacory Croskey-Merritt – Bill just ran all over the Chargers well rounded rush defense last week and now gets the Chicago Bears who give up the most fantasy points to opposing RBs. Jacory plays better with Jayden Daniel’s as they are both threats to take off. He was in my sit spot last week, will not make that mistake again.

Sit – Zach Ertz –   Ertz had a big ol’ goose egg in fantasy last week being just targeted once with nothing to show for it. Scary Terry is looking like another inactive week, but even that being said, Ertz is not trustworthy right now.
