Start/Sit Hub Week 4

Happy week 4 of the 2025 NFL season! Welcome back to my weekly Start/Sit Hub! Mike here, providing you with information that can help you win your fantasy league week in and week out.
Week 4 is just about here, and we get a Thursday night matchup between the 2-1 Seahawks and the 2-1 Cardinals. The game is in Arizona, but the away team Seattle is currently favored by 1.5. The total point over/under is currently 43.5. Can Jaxon Smith-Njigba continue to play hot? And how will the absence of James Connor affect Arizonas offense? My prediction is a 23-17 win for Seattle.
I am here every week during the fantasy football season with start and sit suggestions that can impact your team each week. My decisions as always include obvious and not so obvious picks. I would also like to clarify that my sit suggestions are based on the assumption you have or can add a player that has a better chance at success. Good luck this week and continue to check out my weekly articles.
TNF START/SIT
Start – Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Jaxon is red hot to start the season for the Seahawks. New Seahawks WR Darnold has been targeting him often and clearly things are working. Smith-Njigba has 29 targets, 22 receptions, 323 receiving yards, and 1 receiving TD. Cardinal’s defense has been average against opposing WRs this season. Only Puka Nacua has more receiving yards this season.
Sit – Marvin Harrison Jr – Harrison Jr has been ok this season but not where we all expect him to be. He started well in week 1 with a TD catch and 71 receiving yards. Since then, he has 71 yards total with no scores through weeks 2 and 3. He is averaging 5 targets a game but it is clear that Trey McBride is the guy Kyler Murray relies on more heavily. Seattles defense has been good so far allowing only 1 WR to reach 100 yards and 1 WR to score a TD.

TNF is over and we move onto Sunday and Monday games. The Seahawks won by a score of 23-20 after a comeback from the Cardinals had the game tied with under a minute to go. Jaxon Smith-Njigba hardly had a catch through 3 quarters yet still finished with 79 receiving yards. Seahawks move to 3-1 and take on the Buccaneers next week and the 2-2 Cardinals will play the Titans next. The TNF game in week 5 will be between the Rams and the 49ers.
Remember that the Steelers/Vikings game is being played in Dublin so it will be in the morning for most in the States. Also notice there are 2 MNF once again.
Some of the games I am looking forward to most in week 4 are the Eagles/Buccaneers, the Chargers/Giants, the Browns/Lions, the Ravens/Chiefs, and the Colts/Rams. Some great battles ahead. Enjoy your football weekend and good luck!
START OF THE WEEK
Start – Caleb Williams – 2 weeks in a row as the start of the week!! Caleb has continued his hot start with an awesome week 3 when he dismantled the Cowboys with 4 passing TDs. Now he gets a Raiders team that just allowed Marcus Mariotta to throw and run all over them, like the week prior when Herbert did the same to them. Also helps that Odunze has been stellar.
Vikings @ Steelers (Dublin)
Start – Jordan Mason – Mason showed in week 3 he is perfectly capable of being Minnesotas RB1 when he rushed for 116 yards and 2 TDs. Now he gets a Steelers defense that surprisingly is weak defending the run this season. Breece Hall ran for 100+ yards in week 1, Kenneth Walker rushed for 100+ in week 2, and the Patriots team rushed for 100+ on Pittsburgh in week 3. Fire up Mason and see if he can score in Dublin.
Sit – Aaron Rodgers – After throwing for 4 TD passes in week, Aaron since has thrown 3 TD and 3 INTs in the following weeks. Minnesotas good defending QBs this season allowing only 2 passing TDs through 3 games. They allowed a rushing a TD to Caleb Williams in week 1 but Rodgers as we know is not a threat to run.
Eagles @ Buccaneers
Start – Baker Mayfield – I am thinking Baker could have a big game here. He has owned the Eagles in their last 2 matchups including a playoff win a couple of seasons ago. He loses Mike Evan’s but could gain Chris Godwin along with the rookie sensation Ebuka. Last season Baker threw for 347 yards, 2 passing and 1 rushing TD against the Eagles. And the playoff game the season prior Baker threw for 337 yards and 3 passing TDs against the Eagles. Baker is 3-0 and playing well.
Sit – Dallas Goedert – He is not a bad choice here, but I need to have a sit spot. The Bucs have allowed 106 total receiving yards to opposing TEs this season which averages to 35 yards per game. None of them scored either. Goedert is coming off a TD in week 3 so Bucs might prepare accordingly, even though the Eagles have weapons at every position. Goedert is my 15th ranked TE this week.
Chargers @ Giants
Start – Keenan Allen – It is dealers’ choice here for LA WRs. Allen, McConkey, and Johnston all should excel with the amount chances Herbert has been giving them each game. Giants defense has a good defensive line, but they have not been great in the secondary. Herbert should have his way with the Giants defense and Allen is 1 of the many beneficiaries.
Sit – Jaxson Dart – Dart gets the start. As exciting as that is for big blue nation, he gets the Chargers defense to deal with in his starting debut. He has options with Nabers and Wan’Dale, but he will need to be great and rush some too in order to stay competitive and/or get fantasy points. I would wait and see with him.
Titans @ Texans
Start – Nico Collins – There is little reason for Nico to struggle this week. The Titans have allowed a WR to gain at least 60 yards receiving and a TD in all 3 games this season. In fact, they have allowed 5 different WRs to hit 60+ receiving yards. Nico is leading the Texans in targets by a landslide; we just need CJ Stroud to get going like he was back in his rookie season.
Sit – Cam Ward – Cam is back in the sit spot this week. Texans have been playing well limiting opposing QBs in fantasy. The good news is that Wards passing yards have increased each week, the bad news is he only has 2 passing TDs and his offense is averaging just 17 points per game.
Commanders @ Falcons
Start – Jayden Daniels – Jayden is currently questionable but if he suits up, he should be a great play. If he cannot play, Marcus Mariotta would be a decent play too. They can both work the defense with their legs and have options to pass to. Keep an eye on questionable people like scary Terry. Even when Daniels played uncharacteristically and lost by 9, he was still able to have a good fantasy week.
Sit – Jacory Croskey-Merritt – it saddens me to put Bill in this sit spot because I am a big believer in him. The reason I am putting him here this week is because of how Washington ran with a committee in week 3, along with the matchup with the Falcons. Falcons have allowed only 1 RB to pass 37 yards (Hubbard) and only 1 RB has found the end zone rushing (Dowdle). If I had to start a Commander RB it would be Bill, however he is outside my top 30 RBs this week.
Saints @ Bills
Start – James Cook – Let Cook eat! My man James is killing it this season. He has scored 4 TDs in 3 games and has totaled over 100 total yards in every game. He is a threat on the ground and through the air and is in a talented offense. Should be another great performance this week for Cook.
Sit – Juwan Johnson – Johnson has been great on a bad team. Problem here is he is facing a stout defense. The Bills also have not allowed an opposing TE to reach 15 yards receiving and no TEs have scored against them. Johnson could get some garbage time fantasy points in this game, so I understand if you feel the need to start him, but he is just outside my top 10 TEs this week.
Browns @ Lions
Start – Amon-Ra St. Brown – Amon-Ra is Jared Goffs security blanket when Detroit needs a big play. They face the Browns who have shut down opposing RBs this season, so I did not want to pick Gibbs or Montgomery here. That being said, Goff will need to air it out and why not choose his best pass catcher who has 4 TDs in his last 3 games and gets to play in Detroit.
Sit – Cedric Tillman – Cedric started the year scoring in weeks 1 and 2. Each week his targets have gotten lower and had just 22 receiving yards in week 2 and then 26 receiving yards in week 3. Browns will try to be a defensive powerhouse in this game which would hurt Tillman because he would do better playing from behind.
Panthers @ Patriots
Start – Hunter Henry – Hunter is coming off a 2 TD game last week and now gets the Panthers defense. Panthers have allowed Brenton Strange to hit 59 yards, then let Trey McBride hit 78 yards, and finally they allowed Kyle Pitts to hit 39 yards. Henry is averaging 78 receiving yards and a TD in his 2 home games this season.
Sit – Kayshon Boutte – Boutte started hot in week 1 and cooled off since. He did catch a TD in week 2 but it happened to be his only reception. Then in week 3 he only had 2 receptions for 28 yards. Not enough consistency although the sample size is just 3 games. Panthers have been holding opposing WRs to under 60 receiving yards each in all games thus far.
Jaguars @ 49ers
Start – Ricky Pearsall – Ricky has played all 3 games and had contributed nicely no matter the QB throwing to him. This could be the week he finds the end zone. Jauan Jennings is questionable, as is Pearsall, but both are great options this week with Kittle still on IR.
Sit – Travis Hunter – Putting Hunter in my sit spot based off matchup and trends. His targets, receptions, and receiving yards all have decreased each week, and the 49ers defense at home is not a good thing for the rookie.
Colts @ Rams
Start – Davante Adams – Adams has somewhat quietly been under the radar. It helps when you are teammates with Puka Nacua. Adams has seen 8+ targets every week this season and has scored in back-to-back games for LA. Indianapolis does not have the worst defense or the best, mostly average through 3 weeks. Adams can continue to get targets and make plays, especially when the defense seems more worried about Puka.
Sit – Josh Downs – Downs is 3rd on the team in targets and receptions, and 4th in receiving yards. Pittman and Warren are outshining Downs in the pass catching game and Indy loves to run with JT and now Daniel Jones.
Ravens @ Chiefs
Start – Patrick Mahomes – Patrick Mahomes could be in a great spot here against the Ravens defense in Kansas City. If Mahomes can continue to rush the ball like he did in weeks 1 and 2 he could have a nice stat line. Also, he should have Xavier Worthy back to target often. Ravens know how to score so there will be pressure on Mahomes to keep up.
Sit – Hollywood Brown – After a 16-target game in week 1, Brown has come back down to earth with a combined 11 targets through the next 2 games. Xavier Worthy is supposed to be returning this week, and Tyquan Thornton has been playing well scoring in back-to-back games. Hollywood is dependable, but Mahomes seems to like throwing it to him for small yardage.
Bears @ Raiders
Start – Caleb Williams – SEE START OF THE WEEK TOP OF PAGE
Sit – D’Andre Swift – Swift has 149 rushing yards through 3 weeks averaging only 3.5 yards per carry. I could see him getting fantasy points receiving this week, but I assume that the Bears will try to do the most damage passing with a hot Williams at QB since Swifts rushing has been average at best.
Packers @ Cowboys
Start – Jake Ferguson – Cowboys are already in trouble having scraped out just 1 win through 3 weeks. Now they get a Green Bay team coming off a loss wanting to make a statement. Dak will have to throw and CeeDee Lamb is out. That leaves Pickens and Ferguson as his best options. Fergie has increased in targets, receptions, and receiving yards each week including 26 targets since week 1 ended.
Sit – Cowboys D/ST – this game may have an over/under point total of 47.5 but I am hoping for a high scoring shootout. Cowboys defense is 6th worst in the league giving up 30+ points per game averaged. WRs and QBs feast on the Dallas defense.
Jets @ Dolphins (MNF)
Start – De’Von Achane – Achane is a PPR god. He has 18 receptions on 23 targets. He leads the team in receptions and is tied with Tyreek Hill for targets. Achane has 2 receiving TDs thus far and is averaging nearly 5 yards per rush. He should be heavily involved once again, just be weary that Ollie Gordon has entered the mix and even scored last week. Achane is still a top 5 RB for me this week and as long as he is healthy.
Sit – Tua Tagovailoa – Tua has his offense averaging just over 18 points per game which has led them to an 0-3 start. Tua is injury prone, not a rushing threat, and was held under 150 passing yards in 2 of his 3 starts. The good news is the start where he threw for 315 yards was at home where this game will be.
Bengals @ Broncos (MNF)
Start – JK Dobbin – Dobbins has been very productive in his first year with the Broncos. He is top 10 in the NFL in rushing yards and has scored a TD in each of his 3 games this season. Bengals are known for their defensive struggles so I believe Dobbins can take advantage of that. Bengals just gave up 116 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs to Jordan Mason in week 3.
Sit – Tee Higgins – Tee had just 1 reception last week while being targeted just twice. Higgins only has 7 receptions all season and has scored 1 time. The Bengals are a mess without Joe Burrow. Jake Browning has 5 INTs in 2 games, and it will not get easier playing the Broncos in Denver.
