NFL DFS: Week 2 Cash Game Player Pool

Week 1 Review

Despite some underwhelming performances from Iosivas and Engram, we crushed Week 1, putting up 134.28 points and cashing in on every single-entry contest we played. Now, let’s carry that momentum into Week 2 and keep the wins coming!

Week 2 Analysis

Let’s dive into some key matchups to target in Week 2:

Tampa Bay at Detroit – Over/Under: 51 points

Tampa has been hit hard by injuries, particularly in the secondary with Zyon McCollum, Josh Hayes, and Antoine Winfield Jr. sidelined. The situation is so dire that Vegas oddsmakers moved the opening line from Detroit -4 all the way to -7.5.

Detroit’s passing game struggled in Week 1, as the Lions looked rusty and inconsistent. I don’t expect that to happen again, especially with Tampa’s depleted defense. Look for Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta to bounce back and have big games. Additionally, the Lions elevated Tim Patrick, who could help stretch the field and open up the passing game.

On the other side, Baker Mayfield tore through Washington’s defense, leading to big fantasy days for his top two receivers. Mike Evans remains Tampa’s most dangerous weapon, but Chris Godwin is also a strong option, particularly since Detroit’s secondary allowed just one deep pass in Week 1. Godwin’s slot role could keep him active throughout the game.

LA Rams at Arizona – Over/Under: 48 points

Cooper Kupp returned in a big way for the Rams, catching 14 passes on 21 targets. With Puka Nacua heading to injured reserve, Kupp should remain the focal point of the passing attack, and Matthew Stafford looks sharp and locked in.

The Rams’ young defensive line struggled against the run in Week 1, which bodes well for James Conner. He remains a workhorse for Arizona and could be a key factor in this game.

LA Chargers at Carolina

This is a game to watch purely due to Carolina’s historically bad defense. They’ve been shredded by opposing offenses, and it’s worth noting that J.K. Dobbins has emerged as the most productive back for the Chargers. Expect head coach Jim Harbaugh to lean heavily on the run game against a weak Panthers defense.

It’s also worth mentioning that Christian McCaffrey will be placed on IR, so this could be the last week to get Jordan Mason at a discount. Mason is a must-play and this week’s “free square.”
