Happy Monday and welcome back to my weekly trade HUB article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football.
The MNF game we get to watch tonight is a game between the visiting 10-3 Eagles and the home team 6-7 Seahawks. Eagles are a 2 seed if the playoffs started today while the Seahawks have work to do to be able to get a playoff berth. The line favors the Eagles by 3.5 points and the over/under is set at 45.5. I like the Eagles to bounce back here. Jalen Hurts is having illness issues but is expected to play through it, however we don’t know the severity of what he is going through. Hurts could reclaim his MVP race front runner status with an impressive game winning over Seattle. If Seattle can putt of the upset with Geno Smith or Drew Lock, I would be thoroughly impressed, and it would make Philly go into panic mode. My prediction is Philadelphia 27 and the Seattle Seahawks 26. I think AJ Brown is in for a good game along with DK Metcalf. Should be explosive on both sides.
It is week 16 so make sure you’re aware if your leagues trade deadline has passed or if you don’t have a deadline depending on the format of your fantasy league. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 16 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.
PLAYERS TO BUY
Bijan Robinson – Atlanta Falcons
Bijan was a rookie everyone had on their minds going into the season. Disappointing week 15 to say the least for him and for all of his fantasy owners trying to advance in the playoffs. Well, his final stats were 11 rushing yards on 7 carries, and he caught 1 of 3 targets for 3 receiving yards. Tyler Allgeier got the majority of handoffs, and Cordarrelle Patterson vulture the only TD in the game for Atlanta. Poor outing for all Falcons, but Indianapolis is on the horizon followed by Chicago. Both are solid matchups with potential. Buy him low.
Dalton Kincaid – Buffalo Bills
Kincaid had a night to forget personally, but as a team it was quite a nice night. Josh Allen threw just 15 passes in this game and only 7 were caught. Kincaid was a recipient of 2 targets out of the 15, but sadly didn’t account for any of the team’s receptions. That is unheard of given his game log this season. No other TE was even targeted for the Bills. Kincaid should have a solid bounce back game when they face the Chargers next.
Stefon Diggs – Buffalo Bills
Diggs has certainly slowed down after his insane start to the season. From week 10 until now Diggs has only scored once and he only had 1 game with 50+ receiving yards. It’s clear something isn’t right with them completely. Bills have struggled and Diggs has a big personality on and off the field. Would be a great accomplishment to buy Diggs low and see him help you get that fantasy championship, especially with the Chargers defense next.
PLAYERS TO SELL
Austin Ekeler – LA Chargers
Ekeler didn’t have the worst game ever, but it wouldn’t be too hard to have a better game. Ekeler rushed for a season low 9 yards on a season low 5 carries. He caught 4 of 6 targets for 29 yards which was basically all his fantasy points right there. Chargers continue to get beat up with injuries and poor performance. Austin has 1 TD in his last 5 games, and he has to face the Bills defense that just destroyed the Cowboys. Sell Ekeler and make his recent performances someone else’s issue.
Curtis Samuel – Washington Commanders
Curtis Samuel was targeted 9 times and caught 5 of those 41 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. Samuel is clearly a pass catcher that both Sam Howell and now Jacoby Brissett are comfortable with. Samuel has over 200 receiving yards in his last 3 games combined. I would sell Samuel as high as possible knowing they have to take on the Jets who’s secondary is rather good. Worth noting despite his success recently, Terry McLaurin had 3 more targets, 1 more reception, and 100 more receiving yards than Samuel did so we know there are multiple mouths to be fed.
Noah Brown – Houston Texans
Noah Brown cooked the Titans being targeted 11 times and finishing with 8 receptions for 82 yards and a TD. The 2 previous games Brown did not record a receptions despite 7 targets in total. We have seen Brown score twice this year and in a 2-game span he had caught 14 of 15 targets for 325 receiving yards and a TD. That’s explosiveness. Sell him high as you can.
