NFL DFS: Monday Night Football Showdown Week 14

We have 2 Monday Night Football games tonight. This article will try to find the best Showdown plays for both games. Also, look for an article with suggestions for playing the 2-game slate.

MNF DFS Showdown
Titans at Dolphins (-13.5)
O/U 45.5

We will begin with the most lopsided game of the night, with Miami a massive 13.5-point favorite over Tennessee. We can safely assume most people will be stacking Miami massively. Tyreek Hill will be a very popular Captain, but very expensive. It doesn’t feel like it but Miami does run more when they have a big lead. They don’t stop passing, but rushing attempts do increase. This is a great place to roster Achane or Mostert in the Captain spot.

For the Titans, we have to figure out the one or two run-back players. Assuming Miami has a huge lead, I am not a fan of Derrick Henry. He could get goalline carries if the Titans can get there, but his price is too high for my liking. Will Levis will have to throw a lot and is $900 cheaper than King Henry. His favorite target is DeAndre Hopkins who is criminally cheap at only $ 7600. For a cheap alternative play kicker Nick Folk, as Tennesee tends to stall out in the redzone.

It should also be said that a heavy Titan lineup will be very contrarian tonight. I will probably have one with Levis, Henry and 2 receivers. But this is most likely a waste of money. Another good contrarian play would be to build a 3-3 lineup and hope Tennesee can score with a couple of different players.

MNF DFS Showdown
Packers at Giants (+6)
O/U 37

The second game is will be a much slower, closely contested game. Green Bay is favored by 6m and I expect Jordan Love to be the most owned player in Captain and Flex. He is able to run and the Giants pass defense is atrocious. But, you know by now I hate rostering the highest priced player on the board in the Captain spot, so I will immediately drop down Jayden Reed or Tommy DeVito. DeVito has played well and I can see a scenario where the Giants are behind and throwing. In fact my favorite build for the game is a Green Bay 5-2 stack, with DeVito as Captain.

Aaron Jones is out again leaving AJ Dillon in the backfield with Patrick Taylor as his barely used backup. If Green Bay can get out to a lead Dillon should carry the ball a lot.

Jalin Hyatt had a breakout Week 12 against the Patriots and is priced up to $7000 to reflect that, but I’m not sold on one game. If projected ownership is high, I am inclined to fade him. Saquon is the Giants best player and I will try to get him in most lineups.

My Favorite Plays

Tommy DeVito (CPT)
Jaylen Reed (CPT)
