Chalk Board | Ownership Pivot
Chalk can be good but the right balance of finding chalk that makes sense and pivots away from the masses can make for a winning lineup. Let’s look at week 13.
Quarterbacks
There isn’t much consolidating at the top this week. I’m showing an over owned Russell Wilson that I get from a value standpoint but the upside is better in several other spots. Purdy is the second highest owned but at only around 10% and that’s a good spot in my mind. Hurts is fine with ownership lower due to his matchup, but his ability to run TDs in on the goal line make him attractive in any game situation. If you want a true pivot I think Sam Howell is going severely over looked in a game he could throw 50 passes. I like Tua as good Chalk as well.
Running Backs
All the love is on Moss this week with Taylor out. But sitting at over 40% owned in a mediocre at best matchup, I think I’ll pass. White is good chalk at 20% and a solid pivot for a few hundred less is Stevenson. My CMC broken record keeps spinning as they can’t make him expensive enough to not be worth the play. With so much value in play sometimes the smart move is to pivot up and I really like Kamara and Ekeler who are seemingly being ignored.
Wide Receivers
Tyreek is in the same class as CMC, you just can’t price him high enough not to play him. If you can afford him, lock him in. I love the Tua, Hill, and Waddle combo this week. If you want to pivot with similar median projections you can roll with Allen at half the price. I’m fading Parker as the punt play darling of the week and looking at Curtis Samuel or Greg Dortch again for value if you need it. Lots of love are going to Pittman and Downs but over looking the potential big play ability of Davonte Smith could be a mistake. The Niners can get burned long and that’s Smith’s specialty. Deebo and Garrett Wilson round out my favorite midrange plays at low ownership.
Tight Ends
Just a pile of chalk is gathering onto punt plays in Juwan Johnson and Brevin Jordan and I’m out on both. I actualy like the Njoku chalk and pivoting up to Kittle. If you are looking for under the radar plays look no further than hearing right back to Pat Freiermuth or Logan Thomas. Be wary of Taysom Hill coming in over 5000… I know everyone is hurt but that’s such a tough price to swallow knowing his floors is 3 points.
Defense
ATL and TB are coming in as the most popular and I actually like em both. I’m going down to the Saints personally. The Lions have been sloppy and I’m riding that train.
