NFL DFS: Week 3 Cash Player Pool

Week 2 Review

With Cooper Kupp’s injury and Mike Evans being shut down, we narrowly missed the cash line in most Week 2 contests. In hindsight, playing Godwin in the slot would have been a better move, as Detroit’s defense gave Baker little time to connect with Evans on deep throws. I’m confident that if Kupp had stayed healthy, the extra 6 points needed would have been enough for us to cash.

Week 3 Thoughts

San Francisco will be without Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle. When Deebo is out, Brandon Aiyuk’s target share jumps to 25%. Stats for when both Deebo and Kittle are out are hard to come by, but it’s clear Aiyuk becomes a must-play. Also, lock in Jordan Mason, who’s massively underpriced for his potential workload.

Kyler Murray is off to a strong start this season and faces Detroit at home. While Detroit excels at stopping the run and pressuring quarterbacks, this will likely force Kyler to throw and scramble more, boosting his fantasy value. Though he comes at a premium, I’m aiming to fit him into my lineups.

If Kenneth Walker sits out (currently listed as doubtful), Zach Charbonnet will step into a high-volume role for Seattle. While Charbonnet isn’t spectacular, he should see plenty of work against Miami’s weak run defense.

With A.J. Brown out, DeVonta Smith stepped up with 7 receptions on 10 targets. Expect another high-volume game for Smith, especially at his affordable $6,900 price tag.

For defense, don’t overthink it. If you can afford them, roster Tampa Bay against Bo Nix. Otherwise, go for the cheapest option.
