NFL DFS: Monday Night Showdown Week 8

MNF DFS Showdown
Raiders at Lions (-7)
O/U 46.5

Tonight we are going to see if Detroit deserves all the hype. All good teams lose, look at San Francisco, but it’s about how you bounce back. Detroit should dominate a very inferior team and they should be pissed off about their embarrassing loss last week.

The Raiders could keep this game close. The Lions are down 2 offensive lineman and their secondary has been ravaged by injuries. I think Detroit gets it done, but it will be a close game.

My Favorite Plays

Captain

RB, Jahmyr Gibbs, DET – With David Montgomery out, Gibbs will be the lead back again this week in Detroit. He has handled the role well in 2 other games and last week he looked more adjusted to the offense. This could be a breakout week for Gibbs and he offers a good savings at Captain.

My other captain will be Sam LaPorta.

Flex

QB, Jared Goff, DET –  If the Lions are going to win it will be with the arm of Goff. Taking away last week’s Baltimore game, Goff is having the best season of his career, averaging 250 yards and 2 TDs a game.

WR, Amon-RA St Brown, DET – There really isn’t much to say about the Sun God. If he plays he is a must start, commanding double digit targets every game. Even against Baltimore, he had 13 catches for over 100 yards and 26 DK points. He is a must play in every lineup. He is on the injury report with an illness, s check his status closer to kick off.

TE, Sam LaPorta, DET – Goff’s second  favorite target has bucked the rookie TE narrative and is having an outstanding season. He is a surprising $7400 on DK, so I will have a lot of him in my lineups.

WR, Jakobi Meyers, LV – Cam Sutton should be covering DaVante Adams, leaving Meyers to roam a depleted Lions secondary. His rapport with Jimmy G is noticeable and I think he has the highest upside for the Raiders.

Bargains

TE, Michael Mayer, LV  – Mayer is another promising rookie TE, getting the starting role for the Raiders. TE is also the position Detroit struggles the most against.

Darnell Wright is set to spend his third straight season as the Bears’ starting right tackle.
