Sunday Night Football Showdown – Week 14

Spread: Dolphins -3.5
O/U: 54.5

We have what looks like a shootout in LA, when the Dolphins come to So-Fi. It is looking like ownership is going to be with Tua, Tyreek, and Herbert.  With showdowns, you have to be different and tonight I am going super contrarian.

Captain/MVP Picks

Jeff Wilson Jr., RB – Miami

I looked at a few ownership pages and Wilson is currently under <5% owned in the Captain slot on all sites. Here is clearly the lead back, even though the “hot hand” could propel Mosert higher.  I am banking on Miami passing down the field and giving the ball to Wilson for the score.

FLEX Picks

Justin Herbert, QB – Chargers

Using Wilson in the Captain slot will allow us to pay up for top players. The first we are going to grab is Herbert, who is averaging 25+ DK Points per game. This also works for our contrarian lineup.  If Wilson is used significantly, then Hervert is playing from behind and throwing the ball.

Austin Ekeler, RB – Chargers

Next, we are grabbing the best player on the Chargers with Ekeler. He is a true dual threat and the best ceiling on the team. He averages 20+ DK points a game.

Keenan Allen, WR – Chargers

Let’s complete our premium stack with Allen. He has five-plus catches in the last  three weeks with east 88 yards and/or a TD in two of the past three. Herbert’s two go-to players are Ekeler and Allen, and we now have all three stacked.

Value Picks

Gerald Everett, TE – Chargers
Mike Giesecki, TE – Miami

I like both Tight Ends tonight as value plays to finish off the roster. You can also play Kickers.

If you want to get really crazy, roster Mosert, and get all the Miami running game.

Good Luck and join us in Discord!

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane reports that Eagles OG Landon Dickerson (knee) is "trending toward playing" in Week 1 against the Cowboys.
Dickerson recently underwent surgery to address a meniscus injury. It appears as though his rehab has gone very well. The three-time-defending Pro Bowl blocker should play a pivotal role as the Eagles likely attempt to ground-and-pound their way to victory in the second half.

Eagles S Andrew Mukuba (groin) was seen in pads and is "ready to practice in some form today."
The Eagles drafted Mukuba in the second round this year. He was competing with Sydney Brown for one of the starting safety roles when he suffered a shoulder injury in late July. He later picked up a groin injury upon returning. Mukuba is likely slated for a backup role early in the year, but his draft capital should get him more opportunities to take over as a starter as the year progresses.

Eagles signed OG Kenyon Green to a contract.
Green's promotion coincides with OG/C Willie Lampkin being placed on injured reserve. Lampkin was waived by the Rams with an injury designation after suffering a preseason knee injury. Lampkin will be eligible to return after four games missed.

Landon Dickerson Moving Toward Week 1 Return; G Kenyon Green On Eagles 53-Man Roster
Undergoing meniscus surgery in mid-August, Landon Dickerson was viewed as a candidate to come back early in the season. But missed time was still squarely on the radar for the Eagles’ Pro Bowl left guard. That may not end up being required. After the defending Super Bowl champions kept Dickerson on their active roster — […]
