NHL DFS: 12/10/22

It’s Saturday, and we have a small 5 gamer on our hands. We have one game in particular that I am highly interested in: Buffalo at Pittsburgh.  This is a home-to-home, back-to-back series of games that may open up some opportunities.

Top Teams to Target

GAME STACK: Buffalo at Pittsburgh – I find this game interesting.  Both teams played in Buffalo last night, with Pit winning 4-3.  There was a lot of secondary scoring, but the top lines still got some points.  Since this is game 2 on a back t back, you can expect Backup goalies to be played for both teams. The sportsbooks have this as a 7-goal game with Pittsburgh a slight favorite, meaning another 4-3 game.  Stacking this game makes sense—pair PIT 1 with BUF 2.  Or use PP lines and fill in with the other team’s top 2 lines. With Jeff Skinner suspended I like BUF PP 1 as it will give exposure to the top 3 lines for Buffalo.

Toronto Maple Leafs – Calgary heads to Toronto after an embarrassing loss in Columbus last night.  The second half of a back-to-back, border crossings and travel, and terrible play makes this a smash spot for Toronto.  The Maple Leafs are also playing their best hockey so far this season. This has the potential to be very lopsided

Los Angeles Kings – LA has an Implied Goal tally of 3.5 goals tonight.  Montreal gives up a ton of shots and goals, and they have enough firepower to keep it close. LA players are cheap and good fillers for other rosters.

Vancouver Canucks – Minnesota travels to Vancouver on the second night of a back-to-back.  These are the situations we love to target, with Minnesota playing a backup goalie and boeing road weary.
