NFL DFS: Monday Night Football Showdown – Bengals at Browns

The Line: Cincinnati -3 | O/U 45

Tonight is the battle of Ohio, between the passing of Cinci and the running of Cleveland. We have several key injuries tonight with studs JaMarr Chase (WR CIN) and  David Njoku (TE CLE) both out. There is also the news that Kareem Hunt is on the trade block, so he may not see much, if any, action tonight.

Captain/MVP Pick

Joe Mixon, CIN – RB

The Browns enter Week 8 as PFF’s second-lowest ranked run defense (41.9). The weather is supposed to be rainy and Cinci is without their top wide receiver and Mixon leads all running backs in Red Zone touches (24).  I can see Mixon getting 100 yards and a TD tonight.

Also Consider: Joe Burrow

FLEX Picks

Nick Chubb, CLE – RB

Chubb, in reality, is the Brown’s offense.  Even in a negative game script, he will get his share of carries, especially in the Red Zone.  With Hunt on the trade block, Chubb’s touches should increase tonight.

Joe Burrow, CIN – QB

Burrow has been on fire with 781 yards and 6 touchdowns in the last 2 games. He will be without his star WR Chase, but he has enough weapons to keep the streak alive.

Tyler Boyd, CIN – WR

I think Cleveland will do their best to double-team Tee Higgens with Chase out of the game, leaving Boyd open for a big game.  Plus you get a salary savings to help you roster Burrow

Also Consider: Donovan People-Jones, Amari Cooper, Jacoby Brissett

Value Pick

Harrison Bryant, CLE – TE

Bryant has a good chance of putting up points as the Brown’s only pass-catching TE. Given a game script where Cleveland will be passing to keep up, he is a must-play at his price.

Darnell Wright is set to spend his third straight season as the Bears’ starting right tackle.
