NFL DFS: Monday Night Showdown – New Orleans at Arizona

The Line: Arizona -2.5 | O/U 43.5

This week may not be a barn burner, but we have a lot of different angles and storylines we can target.  Both teams have been hit by injuries, presenting some value options and both have returning players that could make a big impact.

Captain/MVP Picks

DeAndre Hopkins – WR, $15,300 (DK), $12,500 (FD)

Hopkins has served his 6 game suspension and returns tonight to a struggling Cardinals team who just lost Hollywood Brown to injury. He should be an absolute target monster tonight and Kyler likes to throw to him in the Red Zone.

Chris Olave – WR, $11,100 (DK), $11,000 (FD)

Both Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landy have been ruled out of tonight’s game, leaving Olave as the number 1 receiver.  He is having a great rookie season, with insane air yards, and will be facing a suspect Arizonia secondary.  He also represents value on both sites, but on DK you can save over $4000 in the Captain slot.

Also Consider: Alvin Kamara

FLEX Picks

Kyler Murray – QB, $11,200 (DK), $17,000 (FD)

Murray has a good upside with his running ability and he gets DeAndre Hopkins back tonight as his top wideout.  For Arizona to win tonight, Kyer will have to use his feet and throw a pair of touchdowns.

Alvin Kamara – RB, $10,600 (DK), $15,000 (FD)

The entire New Orleans offense runs through Kamara. He is a must-play tonight against a terrible Cardinal defense.  I think he is a little cost prohibitive in the Captain slot on DK, but he should be in your flex no matter what.

Jameis Winston – QB, $9,600 (DK), $14,000 (FD)

The Saints’ offense is pretty simple. Get the ball to Alvin Kamara and throw deep to Chris Olave.  Ultimately Jameis is a gamer and will chuck the ball all over the field against a weak Arizona defense. If you use Olave or Kamara in the Captain slot, you will want to pair them with Winston.

Also Consider: Taysom Hill, Zach Ertz, Eno Benjamin

Value Picks

Juwan Johnson – TE, $3000 (DK), $6500 (FD)

Adam Trautman has been ruled out tonight leaving Johnson as the best receiving option at TE.  This is a great value play where Juwan only needs a few catches to justify his salary and allows you to pay up for Hopkins and Kamara.

Rondale Moore – WR, $5,800 (DK), $9,000 (FD)

Moore has 18 targets over the last 2 games and with Hollywood Brown out, I don’t expect a significant drop. He is fast and elusive and one of Kyler’s favorite targets.

Will Lutz – K, $4,000 (DK), $9,500 (FD)

The Saints are pretty good at moving the ball between the 20s, but they eventually stall out a few times a game in the red zone. Lutz hasn’t been great this year, but he will get opportunities tonight.
