The Chalk Board | DFS Ownership Pivots

Moving off the chalk has always been a guide to success in DFS. Let’s explore what the simulation and projected ownership say about where we can pivot from the public and gain an edge on the field.

Quarterbacks
Draftkings – Herbet has become the DFS darling and his price isn’t catching up so it goes to reason he will be the most owned guy on the slate with Richardson and Darnold shortly behind. What I find fascinating with Drake Maye being $100 more than Richardson and going completely unowned in early projections. Jackson projected to wreck the slate and hovering around 5% owned with Hurts the next highest projected play and even less owned, I am going to be in on a lot of these 2. There are two games I really like to go off this week and the second one besides Philly and Baltimore is Minnesota and Arizona and the clear pivot play is Kyler Murray from Darnold. Daniels was back on last week and I expect more from him as well. The field loves mid range option this week, so I advise going opposite sides of highly owned matchups in Maye or Murray or pay up for studs this week.

Fanduel – Lamar goes way up in ownership and Kyler Murray stands out more as well as the pivot up to Hurts.

Running Backs
DraftKings – Sims are beggin us to play Kamara and Chase Brown and I have no real issue with it. I fear we might get a slog of a game in that AFC North matchup but until Chase goes above 7 grand I am in almost every week. Ownership is showing that Bucky is the prefered back in TB but I can legit play them both against Carolina. This could very well be the week to go back to Breece Hall. I have him as the #4 RB in projections and 1% owned in lineups. People are ignoring the pay-up to Barkley as well though I do wish he wasn’t $8500 will all the TDs that Hurts likes to steal from him. Henry is going overlooked again and I am all about another run on Conner after disappointing last week and going right back to Pollard. While Chase seems like a chalk lock both Harris and Warren seem underutilized and viable options. I absolutely do not like the chalk value in Gus Edwards, I am full fading.

Fanduel – Hall and Conner get a bigger bump and James Cook enters the conversation.

Wide Receivers
Draftkings – WR is super concentrated at the top with Puka, Higgins, David Moore, London, and Evans. I play anyone against the Panthers and Carolina will have to throw all game so I am into the free square chalk in Moore at $3500. You can get away from the optimizer darling in Puka by simply going Kupp and I’ll be honest, I can play Ja’Marr in any matchup and Joey Porter is no exceptions. For me the slam dunk of the week is in Garrett Wilson coming in below 1% in ownership and going to JSN again on the other side in a game that seems to be forgotten about from all angles. We can win slates with guys like Terry McLaurin and Marvin Harrison Jr if they really come in under owned. You can avoid the David Moore chalk with a swap to Boutte or Calvin Austin as well.

Fanduel – Kupp, Wilson, JSN, Collins are practically must plays

Tight Ends
Draftkings – Henry, Andrews, Fant and Schultz are easy pivots off Hill, Otton, and Hockensen but I can not blame you at all for going with the field on Taysom Hill again. I’m trying to pay up to McBride if I left enough room for Hill though.

Fanduel – Hockenson becomes not very owned at all, Kittle can get you alone on an island in the snow and Hill and Otton become pivots away from FD chalk in Dissly, Henry and Engram.
