Trade Hub – Week 15

Happy Monday and welcome back to my weekly trade HUB article. Mike here ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football.

Tonight, we get 2 MNF games and those are between the Titans/Dolphins, and the Packers/Giants. Dolphins are favored by 14 points with an over/under of 46.5 while the Packers are favored by 6 over the Giants with an over/under of 36.5. I’m thinking that the Dolphins offense steals the show whether it be by air or foot, and the Packers might have their hands full with a feisty Giants team trying to stay relevant. My prediction in the Dolphins game is a Miami win by a score of 34-17. My prediction in the Packers game is a 17-13 win for Green Bay. Next Monday is a matchup between the 10-win Eagles and the 6-win Seahawks. Eagles are in panic mode and Seahawks have been in panic mode. Let the fireworks fly on a Monday night.

It is week 15 so make sure you’re aware if your leagues trade deadline has passed or if you don’t have a deadline depending on the format of your fantasy league. Try to sell and/or buy players with strategy and the use of your persuasion and negotiation skills. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 15 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

Amon-Ra St. Brown – Detroit Lions

This trade is a little far-fetched but can’t argue the facts. St. Brown had his worst game of the season in week 14 catching just 3 of his 9 targets for a low 21 receiving yards. He did score the week prior but still only caught 2 of his 6 targets for 49 yards. Those are the selling points along with the Lions falling apart late in the season and 2 of his next 3 games are against solid pass defenses in the Broncos and Cowboys.

Austin Ekeler – LA Chargers

Mr. Ekeler was the only Charger to score in week 14 and its now apparent that Justin Herbert is unlikely to play in week 15. That could hurt Ekeler, but it could also benefit him as well. I believe he is worth buying low after a subpar season under Austin’s expectations. The remaining schedule could end up being all losses for the Chargers but that doesn’t mean Ekeler can’t get his. Send out some low offers.

Isiah Pacheco – Kansas City Chiefs

Yes, I am aware he is hurt and I’m aware he could return to play this week. However, if you can get by without him for a week just in case, you could be rewarded with some solid fantasy points as the Chiefs face the Patriots, the Raiders, and the Bengals next. Pacheco has 7 TDs this season and is worth a trade offer.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Chuba Hubbard – Carolina Panthers

Welcome back Chuba once again in my sell high list. My reasoning is that he is becoming the work horse for the Panthers carrying the ball 48 times in his last 2 games accounting for nearly 200 rushing yards. He also has 3 TDs in his last 3 games. Hubbard gets Atlanta next who have a good rush defense and are playing for a lot more than the Panthers. Nice time to unload him after his usage skyrocketed.

Ezekiel Elliot – New England Patriots

Zeke had his best overall performance in week 14 rushing for 68 yards on 22 carries and also, he caught 7 of his 8 targets for an additional 72 yards and a receiving TD. He had season highs in carries, receptions, targets, receiving yards, and receiving TDs. This all came in the absence of Rhamondre Stevenson who is supposedly not supposed to play in week 15. If you own him and you have the option to send trades, I wouldn’t hesitate to send some offers of him before he takes on the KC defense. Its playoffs time so be weary.

David Njoku – Cleveland Browns

Njoku is a top 10 fantasy TE this season after 14 weeks. He played his best game of the season catching 2 TD passes and accounting for 91 receiving yards, catching 6 of his 8 targets. In fact, Njoku has had a minimum of 54 receiving yards in 6 of his last 8 games. Joe Flacco clearly is favoriting him on the offense and Njoku is delivering. If you are willing to part ways with Njoku and have a decent TE option, this is a great spot to sell him sky high. He is producing and has a soft fantasy playoff schedule.
