Waiver Hub – Week 13

We have reached week 13 of the NFL and fantasy football. Happy Tuesday to all, let’s have a great week! Mike here, welcome back to my weekly Waiver HUB. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football throughout the season.

So last night’s MNF game was not exactly exciting. The Bears prevailed over the Vikings by a score of 12-10. Yes, the Bears won without a TD. Josh Dobbs had a game to forget after throwing 4 INTs to Chicago. DJ Moore exceeded 100 receiving yards and TJ Hockenson caught the lone TD of the game. Next week’s MNF game is the Bengals taking on the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Early thoughts are that Jags should handle this win without Joe Burrow on the other side. The line favors Jacksonville currently by 8 points with an over/under of 38.5

Go out and make some moves and prepare for fantasy postseason greatness. Injuries are inevitable so here’s another chance to hit the waiver wire and get impactful players. Another week gone, another opportunity to make your team stronger and inch your way to that league trophy and an offseason of bragging rights.

Below are my top waiver wire priorities this week. Go get those available players to help your chances at a championship. Good luck this week and remember to check back every week to stay informed on who you could target off of waivers.

TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Zach Moss – Indianapolis Colts

Zach Moss had 55 ushing yards on just 8 carries and caught 2 of his 3 targets for 15 receiving yards. He hasn’t had a great fantasy outing for weeks now but that might change immediately. Jonathan Taylor is dealing with a thumb issue that has yet to be determined how long it will sideline him if that’s the case. Moss would be the guy in Indianapolis just like he was to start the season. If JT misses time this is a no brainer must add.

Quarterbacks

Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers

Love continues to be on my waiver list and for good reason. The talented young QB has won 3 of his last 4 games with 8 total passing TDs and just 2 INTs. He also used a little bit of rushing in his game which never hurts. Jordan has multiple TD passes in 6 of his 11 games and at least 1 in 10 of 11 games. Loves schedule is not the best to end the season but it could be a lot worse. Love is playing some of his best ball right now and with 5 wins I’m sure they he will be eager to build on that success.

Russell Wilson – Denver Broncos

Wilson hasn’t had an crazy games, but he has been consistently getting it done over the last 4 games. Broncos haven’t lost since week 6 against KC and Russ has not thrown an INT since then as well. Against a scrappy good Cleveland defense, he managed to throw a TD and to rush for a TD. Wilson has 30+ rushing yards in 5 of his last 7 games. Wilson has a favorable QB friendly schedule coming up against Houston, LA Chargers, and Detroit. All winnable and Wilson should feel good about the upcoming stretch. Wilson is a solid QB choice moving forward, but I wouldn’t consider him top 10.

Running Backs

Chuba Hubbard – Carolina Panthers

Chuba has a good day for Carolina in what was inevitably another loss. He scored his 2nd rushing TD of the year rushing for 45 yards on 14 attempts. He also caught all 5 of his targets for 47 receiving yards. Hubbard is clearly outperforming Miles Sanders at this time so Hubbard should continue to get opportunity even if the upcoming schedule is less than ideal. Hubbard comes with risk when you draft any Panther, but desperate times call for desperate measures. He is worth an add if you need the help to fill out a lineup.

Zach Moss – Indianapolis Colts

SEE TOP PRIORITY OF THE WEEK

Keaton Mitchell – Baltimore Ravens

Keaton Mitchell rushed 9 times in week 12 which was 1 more than Gus Edwards. Of course, Lamar had 12 carries to himself, but we knew that Baltimore loves to run the ball. Even Justice Hill had a handful of carries. Mitchell led the Ravens in rushing yards and led all RBs in receiving yards with 25. Mitchell now has 8+ carries in 3 of his last 4 games and is starting to look more like the top back on this run heavy multiple RB team. Keaton has a week 13 BYE, but I wouldn’t wait too long to add him because you’re already lucky if he’s still available.

Wide Receivers

Jayden Reed – Green Bay Packers

Reed is back on my waiver list this week after just another solid game. Reed has a TD in each of his last 3 games, 2 receiving and 1 rushing. Reed has gotten 5+ targets in 4 of his last 5 games and Jordan Love is playing some good football right now. KC is going to be a challenge, but Reed seems to be a guy you can rely on. If you have him after KC, he gets a super soft Giants team and another soft defense the Buccaneers. Both are bottom 5 in defending WRs this season.

Curtis Samuel – Washington Commanders

Samuel had his best game of the season in week 12 when it came to targets, receptions, and receiving yards. He finished with 12 targets, 9 receptions, and 100 receiving yards. He plays on Washington who we know loves to throw a ton with Howell behind center. They might not win again, but Commanders don’t have to win for Samuel to help your fantasy team. Curtis is 2nd on the team this season in receptions and receiving yards, and he is the only non-RB/QB to score a rushing TD for Washington this season.

Tight Ends

Isiah Likely – Baltimore Ravens

I put Likely here last week, and he ended up not playing bad for the Ravens. Mark Andrews replacement had 6 targets, 4 receptions, and 40 receiving yards. Only Flowers had more targets and receptions, but 40 yards was enough to be the most for the Ravens this week. Keep an eye on Isiah because after his week 12 BYE he gets a tasty matchup with the Rams.

Pat Freiermuth – Pittsburgh Steelers

Welcome back Pat. Freiermuth casually led the entire Steelers offense with 11 targets, 9 receptions, and 120 receiving yards. Feels like a random performance given his game log in the few games he has played in this season, but I think it will not go back to where it was. The Steelers fired Matt Canada and the Steelers have over 400 yards of offense. Coincidence? No ill take Pat if I don’t have a decent TE this late in the season.

Jaguars Travis Hunter To Start On Offense, Come Off Bench On Defense
Another revelation with the onset of teams’ unofficial depth charts came in Jacksonville, where ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes that rookie No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter has been listed as a starting wide receiver on offense but a backup cornerback on defense. It’s an intriguing development in what has been a closely-watched situation concerning Hunter’s […]

Titans hope to manage Tony Pollard better in 2025
OC talks importance of mixing in other backs Titans OC Nick Holz: Feels like RB Tony Pollard is in a good place heading into the season, but we'll have to get other backs in the mix, whether it's Julius Chestnut or Kalel Mullings. Team doesn't want to overload Pollard and wear him down. (TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt) FF Today's Take: Forgive fantasy managers for being skeptical after Tennessee said similar things last year, only to ask him to handle 301 touches across 16 relatively meaningless games. At least until Tyjae Spears (ankle) is ready to come off IR, Pollard's handcuff will likely be Mullings since the team rarely used Chestnut in a similar spot last year. Mullings is probably worth a stash in 14-team leagues, but he will likely remain off the radar in 12-teamers.

Jaguars listed Travis Hunter as a starting wide receiver and backup cornerback on their Week 1 depth chart.
The Jaguars had initially listed Hunter as a starting wide receiver and backup cornerback at the beginning of preseason and continue to do so ahead of Week 1. Though not much stock should go into these early depth charts, camp usage indicates Hunter will be primarily an offensive player, with secondary usage on defense. Head coach Liam Coen said the Jaguars are evaluating Hunter's Week 1 usage due to missed time for an upper body injury. The rookie No. 2 overall pick is still slated for versatility, but fantasy managers can expect to get his offensive production at the WR3 level to start with.
