NFL DFS: Sunday Night Football Showdown – Packers at Eagles
Please join us in Discord for the latest news and advice.
Tonight the Packers travel to Philadelphia to face an Eagles team who has struggled on offense the last 2 games. I am looking for Philadelphia to bounce back and win this game fairly easily. Green Bay struggles against the pass, so look for big games from AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts.
For the Packers, Philadelphia is ranked 3rd best against the pass in DVOA, and this should force Green Bay into a running game. I like Aaron Jones in every lineup as a flex but I will make home Captain in a few.
Captain/MVP
Jaylen Hurts, QB – Philadelphia
Green Bay’s pass defense is ranked 12th but injuries have shown their lack of depth. Even if they can stop the Eagle’s passing game, their run defense is in the bottom 3 in the league. This is why I love Hurts in the captain slot. Last week when struggling to pass Hurts ran for 86 yards and a TD. You could see even more tonight.
For Green Bay to be successful I really think Aaron Jones has to have a good game. He makes a good alternative to Hurts at Captain.
Flex Players
Aaron Jones, RB – Green Bay
AJ Brown, WR – Philadelphia
Miles Sanders, RB – Philadelphia
If you captain Jalen Hurts you will want to stack him with his favorite receiver AJ Brown. DaVonta Smith is another great alternative to save some salary, but Brown is matchup-proof. As I mentioned above, I am going to try and roster Aaron Jones in every lineup tonight, this is the only chance Green bay has. Miles Sanders is a good flex considering the poor Packers’ runb defense and a game script where Philadelphia maintains a big lead. Most of these plays are very expensive, so let’s find some value.
Value Plays
AJ Dillon, RB – Green Bay
Quez Watkins, WR – Philadelphia
Both of these players are under $4800 on DraftKings. My favorite is Quez Watkins who has stepped up in the middle of the field with Dallas Goedert out. (11 dk points each of the last 2 weeks). If you are really desperate for salary, Jack Stoll, TE – Philadelphia, is dirt cheap, but so far is only getting a couple of targets a game.
