Trade Hub – Week 10

Welcome back to my weekly trade HUB article. The weekend is over, so I hope you enjoyed it and had a great fantasy week. Mike Hubbard Jr here, ready as always to help you with trade suggestions that can help your chances of winning your fantasy league. Follow me on Twitter (@FantasyHubbard) for all things fantasy football. Feel free to tweet me or message me with any comments or questions you might have regarding fantasy football.

Week 9 is ending tonight with a MNF matchup between the 5-3 Baltimore Ravens and the 3-5 New Orleans Saints. The game is in New Orleans with an over/under of 46.5 and the Ravens are favored by 1.5. No Mark Andrews for the Ravens and the Saints have a bunch of people out including Marshon Lattimore. I think Lamar Jackson will have to run run run a ton to keep the Ravens going. Don’t underestimate the Saints here. This game could go in any direction but I’m thinking rather low scoring battle. My prediction is the Ravens win 23-20. Give me all the Lamar rushing yards.

Make sure you’re aware if or when your league has a trade deadline. You should have a few weeks still to try to sell and/or buy players, There is still enough time to get strategic and use your persuasion and negotiation skills out in the fantasy football trade market. Here are some players to buy and sell before week 10 begins. Like I always say, one trade could be the difference in winning or losing your fantasy football league.

PLAYERS TO BUY

James Connor – Arizona Cardinals

Connor finally returned from injury in week 9 after not playing since week 5. In his return he rushed 7 times for 45 yards and caught all 5 of his targets for an additional 19 yards. Eno Benjamin had a very quiet day in the backfield which made playing time for Connor grow. Although Connors stats weren’t eye popping, he was used more than usual this season and the Cardinals have great matchups for RBs come fantasy playoff time. Hopefully games will be closer so the Cardinals can establish a healthy RB game. His usage alone makes him a buy low candidate.

DJ Moore – Carolina Panthers

Moore has a disappointing week 9 in a big loss to the Bengals. Moore was tied for most Panthers targets with 6 but finished with only 2 receptions for 24 yards. Moore is boom or bust this season. He has 3 games with 24 or less receiving yards and 6 games with 50 or less receiving yards. He had a terrific week 8 and 9 combining for 13 receptions for 221 yards and 2 TDs. After his dud performance yesterday, maybe his owner is willing to sell low. Throw an offer out there in hopes of more week 8 and 9 performances. Also let’s hope whoever plays QB next game for the Panthers will target Moore heavily.

Gabe Davis – Buffalo Bills

Gabe Davis was target 5 times yesterday and only caught 2 for 33 yards. That’s 2 yards less than he had just a week before. Davis is one of many Buffalo pass catchers, but him and Diggs seem to be the most explosive. After these dud games he’s been having, now is a good time to buy low. He is healthy and has TD potential on every target so let’s hope he can start catching more targets and get the Bills back to their high scoring attack after a loss to the Jets.

PLAYERS TO SELL

Davante Adams – Las Vegas Raiders

Adams went off yesterday being targeted 17 times. He caught 10 of those for 146 yards and found the end zone twice. Almost identical stats from week 1 for him. Although Adams has had great games, he also has had a few duds. The Raiders have a not so friendly remaining schedule for WRs so if you’re willing to part ways with Adams, I’m sure you can sell sky high. It won’t help Adams target share once Darren Waller is healthy enough to play again.

Kenneth Walker III – Seattle Seahawks

Walker has been a league winner since he took over RB1 duties in Seattle. He scored twice yesterday and ran for 109 yards on 26 attempts. His downside is that he is behind Travis Homer when it comes to 3rd down situations and 2-minute drills. Seahawks have to play the Bucs next and have the 49ers during fantasy playoffs. If you’re willing to sell Walker while he is red hot, who knows who you could get for him. Shoot for the moon.

Tyler Allgeier – Atlanta Falcons

Tyler had 10 carries which was 3 less than Patterson, yet Allgeier outrushed Cordarrelle by 55 yards. He also caught 1 pass for 24 yards. Patterson found the end zone twice. Allgeier is a great sell high candidate after this performance and seeing his past games. He has rushed 10+ times in all but 1 game this season. With Patterson back playing healthy and Damien Williams eventually returning, Tyler is a sell candidate, and I wouldn’t wait too long to send some offers out.

Mecole Hardman – Kansas City Chiefs

Mecole has scored a receiving TD in 3 consecutive games after having just 1 through 5 weeks. Hardman set season highs in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. He finished with 6 catches for 79 yards on 9 targets. The Chiefs can out up points and Mahomes has a ton of pass catching options. Hardman may be 2nd on the team in receiving TDs, but he is 4th in receiving yards, 3rd in receptions, and 4th in targets. I don’t know how he will be able to maintain high fantasy appeal knowing guys like Kelce, MVS, JuJu, and now Toney are all at Mahomes disposal. Sell as high as you can.

49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (calf/rest) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
There's a chance we see McCaffrey pop up with the calf/resting player designation several times throughout the season as the 49ers try to manage his workload and prevent aggravation of his prior calf injury. His limited practice last week had fantasy managers concerned, but he took on a large workload in the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Seahawks. Expect McCaffrey to play in Week 2 while continuing to take on a large offensive workload with nearly every other offensive skill player hurt for the 49ers..

49ers WR Jauan Jennings (shoulder) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
ESPN's Adam Schefter had reported yesterday that Jennings was "day-to-day" with a shoulder issue. The 28-year-old was hurt in the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Seahawks, but and MRI did not show extensive damage to his shoulder. He starts out the week missing practice, putting his status to return immediately for Week 2 in jeopardy. With George Kittle on IR and Brock Purdy likely out, the 49ers are running out of fantasy-relevant offensive players early on in the season.
