NFL DFS: Monday Night Football Showdown – Ravens at Saints

The Line: Ravens -1.5 | O/U 46.5

I really don’t know if this is a football game or an episode of M.A.S.H.  Baltimore will be without Mark Andres, Gus Edwards, Rashod Bateman, and possibly Demarcus Robinson.  New Orleans announced that Michael Tomas was also out for the year. I am surprised Baltimore is still favored to win. I see 2 possible approaches to the showdown tonight: A balanced build and a Defensive Battle.  Below I am going to lay out a balanced build that should be the most successful.  I wouldn’t be mad if you also played a double defense, double kicker lineup.

Captain/MVP Picks

Chris Olave, NO – WR

Olave is the defacto number-one receiver on the Saints now that Thomas is out for the season. He has been impressive so far this year and while Baltimore’s defense is a little tougher, he should get a ton of targets.  Also placing him in the Captain slot on DK allows you to roster Kamara and Lamar Jackson.

FLEX Picks

Lamar Jackson, BAL – QB

Lamar gives you the highest ceiling on the Ravens squad and is a must roster, even with his lack of receivers.  He is still gaining yardage on the ground and may be forced to run extra tonight with all the injuries. He will be heavily owned n Captain so I prefer to play him in the flex and save a few dollars.

Alvin Kamara, NO – RB

Similar to Jackson, Kamara has the highest ceiling on the Saints.  He is a true dual threat and has been playing better as late.  He will be chalk, but I don’t think the Saints have a chance of winning without a big game from their star running back.

Isaiah Likely, BAL – TE

When Mark Andrews left the game last week, Likely stepped up a stat line of 6-77-1 on 7 targets.  He will have a tougher matchup this week, but Harbaugh loves to scheme his Tight Ends open. Likely should be Lamar’s number-one target tonight.

Value Pick

Juwan Johnson, NO – TE

Johnson is a dart throw to try and keep salary down on a balanced build. We are hoping he can repeat his performance from 2 weeks ago where he has 2 TDs on 5 catches.

Baltimore Ravens Defense

Both defenses are in play, but Andy Dalton is not a runner and can easily throw 2 interceptions in this game.
