Captain/MVP Picks

Patrick Mahomes – QB, $17,100 (DK), $17,000 (FD)

Tampa has the best pass defense in the league, but I will argue that Mahomes is the best passer in the league.  It is strength vs strength. He also likes to spread the ball around and Tama can’t cover everyone, all the time.  Add in a game narrative that KC will need to throw to keep pace, and Mahomes is my number 1 captain tonight.

Mike Evans – WR, $14,100 (DK), $13,000 (FD)

It sounds like Chris Godwin is going to play and that is good news for Mike Evans.  He is Tom Brady’s favorite target and Godwin will help spread out the coverage. On Tampa focused stacks play Evans as your Captain.

FLEX Picks

Travis Kelce – TE, $9,400 (DK), $11,500 (FD)

Kelce is by far the best tight end in the league and for KC, he is pretty much WR1. He will see his toughest coverage of the year, but Andy Reid will move him all over the field to get him open. He is always Mahomes first read, so he is a must Flex with Mahomes as MVP.

Tom Brady – QB, $10,000 (DK), $15,000 (FD)

I am expecting a lot of passing tonight, so it makes sense to roster both QB’s. Mike Evans got an extra week of rest with his suspension and Godwin should be in the lineup.  The GOAT also always plays well in Primetime.

Value Picks

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – WR, $5,600 (DK), $8,500 (FD)

Watch the injury report as MVS is currently listed as Questionable  If he plays this price is just way too cheap in a game that will have Mahomes throwing to any open receiver he can find.  

Cole Beasley – WR, $4,800 (DK), $7,500 (FD)

Beasley now has a full week of practice behind him and should know the playbook much better.  Tampa has to keep their tight ends blocking to help the offensive line making Beasley a great underneath target.
