NFL DFS: Thursday Night Football – Dolphins at Bengals

The Line: Bengals -3.5 | O/U 48

We should have a good one tonight as the high-flying Dolphins escape the hurricane and take on the Bengals in Cincinnati. Neither team has much of a defense and the Bengal’s offensive line may be the worst in football.

Captain/MVP Picks

Tee Higgins – WR, $12,300 (DK), $11,500 (FD)

There are a ton of options for Captan tonight, but my favorite is Tee Higgins.  He has been targeted as much as Chase, will see much weaker coverage tonight and on DK you get a sizable discount.  He is my preferred DK Captain tonight.

Tua Tagovailoa – QB, $14,100 (DK), $15,000 (FD)

For my money, the highest upside is Tua.  Cinci’s secondary is not good and if his back holds up he is pretty mobile.  The ground game in Miami is disgusting, so expect Tua to throw and throw a lot.  On Fanduel where salary doesn’t matter for the MVP, Tua is a free square.

Also Consider: Tyreek Hill, Joe Burrow, Jaylen Waddle

FLEX Picks

Joe Burrow – QB, $9,600 (DK), $15,500 (FD)

Throwing Higgins the ball is quarterback Joe Burrow. Last week Burrow easily took care of the Jets with 275 passing yards and three touchdowns. This week he goes against a Miami secondary that ranks in the bottom 5 of the league. Expect another huge game and I am looking for 2 TD’s to Higgins.

Tyreek Hill – WR, $10,800 (DK), $14,000 (FD)

Tyreek is my preferred “run-back” against the Burrow/Higgins stack and my favorite stack on FanDuel with Tua in the MVP spot. You can also use Waddle to save some salary, but Hill has a greater upside.

Also Consider: Jaylen Waddle, Ja’Marr Chase, Chase Edmonds

Value Picks

Raheem Mostert – RB, $4,400 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

Probably very Touchdown dependant, but good savings over Chase Edmonds and he is seeing 50% of snaps.

Also, look at kickers for value.  This should be a high-scoring game meaning kickers in the flex may make the difference between 500th and first place.

Najee Harris Puts In Full Practice Wednesday
Chargers RB Najee Harris (eye) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. It's more confirmation that he's on track to play in Friday night's opener against the Chiefs in Brazil. Harris didn't practice a single time in training camp after his July 4 fireworks accident, so it's tough to imagine that he'll be ready for a significant role on Friday. Harris should not be in fantasy lineups, but his availability makes RB Omarion Hampton a slightly shakier Week 1 start. The rookie's total yardage prop is set at a modest 64.5 yards at most sportsbooks. See where Hampton lands in the Week 1 RB Rankings.
